  1. @Eric 26 Honest question: would you rather have Bill B or Jim Harbaugh?
  2. Dewey, Francis, Reese. Greatest sitcom brothers. Hal and Lois, greatest sitcom parents. Was tough to see Hal as Walter White, but he's a h*ll of an actor. Good episode in the X-Files, too! I'm 54, been a Bills fan since, oh, maybe 6 years old. I loved the buffalo (animal) and loved orange juice - OJ was the "Juice" and became an instant fan of the team. A heart broken fan. But a fan regardless.
  3. First of all, HUGE rec on Dewey from Malcolm in the Middle. One of the best sitcoms of all time. Second, as a Bills fan, I kind of relish in NE fan disappointment given y'all steamrolled the league for the early 2000s, not to mention Brady's disgusting record against my Bills. I would love to say ... "I feel bad for you guys" ... but ... nah. 😆
  4. Great weekend ahead! Bills bye = no stress, no loss. Next up, fixing 13 seconds in Arrowhead. 🤞 Probably go play some disc golf!🥏
  5. Welcome aboard! 👋

    Rest in peace, Ghoti. 😞
  7. Let's go Buffalo! This isn't the 70-20 loss Broncos you're facing, it's a much better team. And tonight is my first at-home sleep study, so a win would sure help me sleep better. 🙄
  8. If I may...I'd like to...politely let off some steam for my team. Thank you....
  9. I've been fine with BR as-is, and as a kayaker. Just saying. I did join (early on) another kayak bass fishing forum <cough> but once I found this site it was game over.
  10. Outcoached, outschemed, what else to say. Terrible play calling, IMO. QB17 looked so much better in 2nd half, but yet again, too late to win the game. Defense - tha heck?! I know we have 5 starters out, but next man up? Is there a next man? Is it obvious I'm depressed?
  11. Welcome aboard, John! 👋
  12. I'm quite happy with the Bills win today. Quite. However, losing Tre White again, Achilles this time, is a tough pill to swallow.
  13. We cook with gas, have several cast iron items. Love them. Try to clean them by either pouring water into them while very hot, or using a brush to get sticky stuff off of them. Seasoning is a pain. I try to do it like the YouTube vets (Cowboy Ken Rollins, et al) show, but I can never quite get the right seasoning- or if I do, someone scrapes it off using the wrong cooking utensil, or some acidic food stuffs.
  14. For me it is music on the water. People cranking tunes while fishing. I escaped society to get into nature for a few hours, not listen to radio. Especially when it is calm ... and the sound just carries ... across the water.... I have experienced this just as the sun rises. Scares the crap out of me, especially when the beaver is like 15 feet off the port bow....
  15. Welcome aboard! ?
  16. Welcome aboard! ?
  17. Well, the Bills were Night and Day different from MNF. One could say Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde. Much better play all around, different looks, not in the shotgun every play and just more structured offensively. D played well, too. I'll take the W, thanks very much. Hope it stays consistent.
  18. Wow, never knew that. Very cool! Good luck and catch a big one!

Same here. I'm youngest of 5 - three girls, two boys. One of my sisters is *always* late. I do prefer people show up on time, preferably *before* on time in my line of work (IT). But I am aware of a recent generation that has a different perception of time. 5-10 min late is no big deal to them. Not like we can change them to our point of view, it seems to be a generational thing. ?‍♂️ I try not to sweat over it too much, though I have taught my sons to be on-time or early. They are good...for the most part.

I lost my Dad shortly before Christmas 2022. He was 92. Dad was my hero. My best friend. An ear that would listen and provide wisdom that was bottomless. Dad served in the Navy, Lt. Commander. He was not one who took patriotism lightly, nor ignorantly. He was a thinker, not a blind follower. He taught me to think. I miss my Dad dearly. He taught me fishing, among many other things in life. He is missed, mourned. I will always love and cherish his wisdom, tolerance, love. Now let me shed some tears.
  21. Welcome aboard, Jen! ? You have a short, light rod and a smaller size reel. I would recommend you have it spooled with 8-10 pound braid - something like a PowerPro, or other brand (I use Power Pro) You should be able to fish a number of lighter (finesse) rigs like Wacky rigging, micro jigs, Ned rigging (a fav). I'm sure a bunch of suggestions will come rolling in, this is a GREAT forum to learn from. Stay tuned!!
  22. Agree totally. I think Daboll was Josh's Zen Master in that regard. He was more cautious with the ball, more accurate if I'm not mistaken under Dabs. If only..... I'll start to worry after 5 games. Ok, 2. No, 4 games. Gah. I'm already worried.
  23. Yup. Should have been toast. Hope Josh can find his sea legs again. I was *almost* in the dog house last night. Was a terrible 2nd half. Shouldn't have had to take it to OT. Josh got into his Hero Ball mode and blew it. At least he owned it unlike Zach last year. Hey, it's only game one. Every team is going to to after Josh to get him to over commit/go Hero Ball. It is up to him and his coaches (I miss Daboll's zen influence on him) to help him succeed. Otherwise this team is not gonna go far.
