What Is Your Average Sized Fish?
Differs for me. I'd say last year my average was in the 3 pound range, but this year, despite some good sizes, it's been lower, on average. I'd put this season's average in the 2 pound range. Though it's hard to quantify since I don't keep record of every bass I catch.

New Pb Nh
Well done! Hearty congrats on the new PB!

Rodman Reservoir 17.2 Pound Bass. Only 6 Years Old
Glad I'm not the only one who thought the same. In fact, looking through all the other pix, there's one with a boy holding a "9 pound bass" that looks more like a 3 pounder. But hey, if they weighed it and it was 17.2, good on him for scoring such a beast.

Caught My First Black Crappie :-D
Congrats! It's a fun fish to catch. Wait till you catch the bigger ones. Just don't jerk 'em too hard as they're also called "Paper Mouths" for a very good reason.

Who Else Is Guilty?
Yep. I do, too.

Struck By Lightening
Too close for comfort. Glad you and the neighbors are unscathed. Been in such storms when vacationing as a kid in the Poconos. Frightening. But awesome at the same time...

Hemostats
Those look nice! Will have to check them out.

Hemostats
I've got some from an old Army kit I picked up at a show years ago. But I've been looking to replace them with the Rapala models since they're a much heavier build. The Mustad's look quite similar, so take your pick of the choices. Don't think you can do wrong. Pretty sure they're all stainless, right?

Caught My New Pb This Morning
Congratulations!! A PB is always a great day. And it looks like she's been filling up her belly with shad. Nice fish!

Are Ewg Hooks The Best Thing To Use?
For me, no, they are not. I normally use either round bend or, preferred, O'Shaughnessy bend hooks. I do have some EWG in various sizes, but they're not the first I look for when I'm rigging TX style.

Flipping Fishing Reels
LOL, I actually thought what you meant (like flipping houses) when I first read the title and said, "nah" he means flipping reels - you know, the specialty kind. That said, no, I don't know anybody who does that.

Smaller Senko = Bigger Fish??
I catch the VAST majority of bass on 4-4.25" Senko/knock-offs. I have 5" and 6" worms that also catch, but rarely as compared the 4. That said, I happened to catch my PB on a 5" Senko, LOL.

Light Tackle Amberjack
Nice! Sounds like a great trip.

Just When I Was Getting Frustrated With My First Fall Of Bass Fishing...

When Do You Stop?
Here in the south eastern part of VA, I will get out through November...December...even in January, Feb, and March... Been out in some quite chilly weather here. But when there's ice, I don't venture forth.

Six Foot Six Inch Rods - The Best All Around Rod Length?
LOL. I have a formerly 6'3" Avid (now ~5'9") a 5'9" Compre, and a 6'3" Compre. Also have a 6' Field & Stream casting rod that is awesome. But my *current* preference, as stated earlier, is/are my two 6'6" Carbonlites simply because they are so light. If BPS made a 6' M CL rod, I'd have been all over it -- they do make a 6' L spinning rod, but I'd rather a M power. I find shorter rods -- for me -- are so much more manageable when kayaking. But again, the sheer lightness of the Carbonlites have made them my current favorites.

Favorite 10Lb. ~ 15Lb. Braid For Spinning ?
Because braid is expensive, and lasts a long time, I don't tend to swap it out as much as I do leader material. I've used regular Power Pro and Sufix Performance Braid out of your list. I've researched the others, but have chosen to stick with regular PP. It works fine for my needs and I see no real reason to change. And for spinning gear I spool up with 10 pound yellow.
