  1. I like fishing with my sons, but mostly one at a time, LOL. Then there's my one fishing buddy, but we don't fish often together anymore. I go it alone 98% of the time simply because it is an enjoyable escape for me, and the times I get out are not conducive to other people with "normal" working/schooling hours.
  2. Good luck, fly! Almost done!

I hear ya. I was fishing a month or two ago and some military guys - well, at least one was in his uniform, were out around lunch time in a jon boat motoring around (electric). Turns out they were a little tipsy, or flat out drunk. I returned by the way they trolled out, and guess what was floating in the waters I fish?! Beer cans. They had a cooler and were popping cans while I was fishing, so I know it was them...they left a trail to follow. That's not all they did that was stupid. But I wasn't too happy about the trash. Probably should have reported them to the rangers, but other things got in the way.... One jumped in the water while the dude controlling the motor did donuts around the guy in the water... Laughter and suds were the reward.
  4. Man, I thought this was about Peyton Manning's amazing grasp of the game... Silly me.
  5. Happy day!
  6. Not yet, I'm guessing they've just been released? To be honest, I almost forgot about them since they were announced at Icast... Interested in how they feel given the marketing hype.
  7. I prefer M and ML for my casting rods. They're used for worm fishing, some moving baits. I have one MH rod that I barely, if ever, use.
  8. I'm personally mixed on the subject of automatic life vests vs. "plain" life vests... Read a lot on the matter, and it seems that *most* seasoned kayak fishermen will opt for a vest without the need for inflation. Reasons include cost of replacement parts, as a yakker is more likely to experience splashes, etc., being lower to the water than a boater. But I know some who wear them and love them. Me? I prefer a standard fishing/yakking vest. It never needs a new cartridge, etc., and will always work.
  9. Great fish, and I have to echo A-Jay. Safety first, you have a lot to live for!
  10. I'm not big, only between 5'6" and 5'7"....
  11. I have many favorites, but the one that never gets old for me: The Princess Bride.
  12. Good fish, man!
  13. Welcome aboard!
  14. Welcome aboard, Jeremy!
  15. I will take either one. Have both, like both.
  16. Man, there are some cool Jon Boat mods out there (google). Tho I'm a kayak fisherman, I've seen some JB mods I'd be all over. If I had a JB and could mod it, I'd definitely add a front casting deck. I think you're on the right track for now....
  17. Senko (genuine), or a BPS Stick-O.
  18. Probably the day I caught my PB. But there have been other awesome days, too...
  19. I say go for it. I have a spool, but I don't use it at this point. I've actually strayed a little from the pure fluoro leader line lately. I'll still use it, but not as much. And I bought XPS fluoro to replace the Red Label I have simply because the spool broke and dinged the line. So I haven't used it since due to trust issue. Why I haven't thrown it away, I do not know, LOL.
  20. Heck of a fish! Congratulations!
  21. Welcome aboard!
  22. Hi Ronald, welcome aboard!
  23. Since I joined the Chronarch 50e club, I'm rather biased. What a great reel! Gets my vote.
  24. Interesting... No big deal to me, I just enjoy the shows with or without co-anglers. No disrespect to co's....
