  1. I thought you already introduced yourself! Welcome again, Kim
  2. Welcome aboard!
  3. Glad you aren't too put out . We've all had careless moments...
  4. Welcome aboard, Aaron! You've got a lot to live for with those two kiddo's! Stay safe on your yak, and may they enjoy learning to fish by your side.
  5. Tragic, sorry to hear. Safety should be the #1 priority when on the water. I always wear a PFD when I'm out. Never know what might happen out there.
  6. I can understand the postage thing, Tim. Have you tried contacting them via email? Here's a link I just found that may be of some use, if for nothing else other than a contact email: https://basspro.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/396/kw/cookie
  7. It may be because you are in the UK. A recent law there requires sites to inform visitors of cookie usage and such. Perhaps it is something Bass Pro does for international visitors to their web site.
  8. Not sure, but since nobody else has chimed in, I'll suggest Daiwa Sol and PX-Type-R. Not necessarily in the same money ball park, but.... Otherwise look for a used Curado 50e. IMHO, of course.
  9. Darren. replied to ABW's topic in Fishing Tackle
Stocked up on my fav colors of BPS stick-o worms in 4 1/4" as well as two new colors in their 3 for $10 deal. Couldn't pass it up. Also got some Zoom worms for 20% off.
  10. Agreed. Meant to suggest this. I have two Chronarch 50e models, and that's what I'd use. Both are spooled with 20lb yellow Power Pro and I always use a leader of various poundage.
  11. I have had some success throwing a worm be it a senko, a Zoom Trickworm, or Finesse worm back out in the area.
  12. Welcome aboard, John!
  13. Welcome aboard!
  14. I looked at that for a worm rod - wacky, TX, etc. But not sure I'm going in that direction at this point. I would be cross-grading from a Avid 6'3" spinning rod for that model. Personally love the shorter rods for kayak fishing and casting in tight quarters.
  15. I primarily use Shimano Stradics, and a Daiwa Lexa 2000. At the bottom of your range, The Lexa is an excellent choice, extremely smooth. Top of your range Stradics. Also in the $100 range, the Symetre. That said, I would not dismiss the new Daiwa Ballistics and Procyons, or the Pfluegers if you like them. The thing for me, I did not like the feel of the Pfluegers when I tested them out in-store. And they were highly recommended to me, I even went in with the intention of buying one, that is until I tried them out in-hand. I left with my first Stradic that day. Everyone is different, so what you may like, I may not, and vice versa. They will all catch fish! Make sure to ask to try models out of the box as opposed to display models... The only time I have not done that - with the Lexa. I rolled the dice on that one and won.
  16. Same as ww2farmer. I've gone through a lot of different methods for storing soft plastics. From original bags in gallon ziplocs, to original bags in Bass Pro worm bags, to combinations of those in totes, to 3600 size boxes (I use Bass Pro boxes mostly) for this. I've been sticking to the boxes for a while now. It has been the most efficient method thus far. Like ww2farmer, stuff not in the rotation, or extras are stored in a tote(s). On my yak, I take about 5 boxes, primarily use 3 of them stocked with 4 & 5-inch senkos, trick worms, and a third with finesse worms, minnows. Then I use a small, double-sided box for all my terminal tackle, as well as a plano line holder (6 spools).
  17. Welcome aboard, Tony!
  18. Excellent! Definitely pick up a scale! You'll thank yourself later
  19. I use from a size 2 - 1/0 for wacky rigging. Colors: black; green pumpkin chartreuse tip; green pumpkin hold flake; watermelon magic, red. Also TX, Jika rig them.
  20. Love XF tips! But I also like my F rods that happen to be more like XF than F except for one or two of them.
  21. Welcome aboard!
