100% waterproof ??
I wear a rain suit designed for golf over some warm clothes if it is cold. Zero Restriction is my favorite type. http://www.zerorestriction.com/linkstorm-jacket/

This picture says it all..
I am dreading it. So far so good though, in fact I have a tee time tomorrow. It is supposed to be pretty decent out.

Im going to build one...
Anything that will prevent the blank from getting nicked or scratched should be ok. Think about durability. Once you have whatever it is you choose attached to the notches you don't want to have to redo or fix it frequently.

hows your seaon going for you hunters
I see. Great buck anyway, nobody I know has seen much of anything yet.

Fishing Gear Insurance?
I have coverage for my gear on the boat policy.

Not to be a butthead because 11 points is impressive, but that buck looks kind of small. Thin neck, the antlers don't seem to have much girth, etc. Did you get a weight?

Playing in the water. This actually wasn't my dog, but we played fetch for at least an hour one morning while we were up in the U.P. fishing.

St Croix graphite?
I remember reading that over there. Good quote.

St Croix graphite?
How's that for timing?

St Croix graphite?
IM can be misleading when talking about a whole rod. It really only talks about the graphite and doesn't account for resins and scrim that go into making a blank. it would not be totally accurate to designate the sensitivity of a completed blank based on the IM alone as there are other things involved that are quite important in regard to sensitivity.

For your first blank I recommend looking at the MHX series by Mudhole. This is an excellent blank for the price.

CMA Awards!
Stringjam- nailed it. Great post. First record to make the country and pop charts? 1948 if I have my facts right. Pop-Country? What about Glen Campbell, Bellamy Brothers, Ronnie Milsap, John Denver? You guessed it. All had success on the pop charts.

CMA Awards!
Yea, 2nd to Loretta Lynn. Agreed. She wasn't in there when I posted though. They just snuck her in the back door to sing. If I was Taylor Swift in there listening to Loretta Lynn signing like that at 76, I would really be amazed at how I even got invited to this show.

What is the best size rod for crankbaits?
Moderate action. Go as long as you are comfortable with, in my opinion, longer is better. Match the power of the rod with the weight of the bait you intend to throw on it.

Classiest lady in the place just presented...Martina.

Handle preferences
Split grip, no foregrip is a win-win. Even though I am trying to ween myself off of them, I think I still might prefer full cork from a comfort standpoint, but there is weight savings with the split grip and that improves performance of the rod. Also, the rod companies save money on cork and can pass those savings on, which is getting harder to come by in any really high quality grades. I think this is one aspect we are seeing so many really good rods around $100.

Pike vs. Power Pro???
Fluorocarbon is the leader of choice for guys "in the know" around here. They use it for Musky on St. Clair. Use to be that everyone used metal, not anymore. I don't think it makes a difference really, but some guys do. I do agree, if you are using metal, use titanium. Another benefit is that they will not rust.

Rod handle length
RM, J Francho and DVT pretty much got it covered.
-
Swimbait/Frog/Flip-Pitch Rod?
I don't know about that rod, but I see there are the same ratings for a 7'6" rod and a 7'10" rod. I'd be going with the 7'10" if I was forced to choose.

Hey Pike Anglers!
Sorry, I didn't see this until just now. PM me your address, I'll send you a few staples for pike that are taking up space, all spoons. I never use them anymore. We used to do an annual fly-in in Ontario, but not anymore.
