  1. Run it dry..no oil or grease on roller bearings. That's why it's slipping.
  2. X2 I've been using 10 & 12# Red label for yes and never a problem @ all, I like it as well.
  3. Man don't pry it! There is a pin that runs through the line guide thats just like on E series reels,Make sure you have that unscrewed and backed out.
  4. Nice man! Love me some Shimano E's!
  5. Nice man! I love Shimano E's!!
  6. Fisherman caught fish with mono on frogs for years before braid!
  7. My recommendation, find a used Curado/Citica E, although I do have a Curado I,I like it and its a good reel, I just prefer the E. But man, if its a Calcutta you want, then get one,I fished em for years and just saw a nice 100 sale for 80 bux a couple of days ago, it was either in the flea market here or someplace else. You choose what you want and what works best for you though, not others.
  8. Well maybe I had a bad batch of 14# when I tried it about 12 yrs ago, broke fish off in a tournament on 2 different hooksets. Not hard hooksets either. I guess that just broke me from ever trying it again.
  9. I have all my rods wrapped with rescue tape,it fuses to itself, grips well and doesn't leave any residue on handle because there is no adhesive. I've been using it for years. http://www.rescuetape.com/

Over 100 easy..accumulated over the years.
  11. Ultra vibe speed craw.
  12. Don't get vanish unless you want your baits to vanish, that stuff is no good!
  13. Congrats on the new Ranger. I see you're in B'ham. Do you fish the coosa pool alot? I'm in Ttown and our club goes to Mitchell and Lay some.
  14. I use an E-series Citica spooled with 12# yo-zuri hybrid for most of my spinnerbait techniques.Line casts great and is strong..never a break off with it like I have had with flouro,I think it's a good alternative to it.
  15. My personnal preference is, with a light rod like that you wanna put a Magnesium frame reel on it so it doesn't take away from the lightness of the rod...I have a Core 100 on my Cumara and love the way it balances and just how light the combo is overall..I'd go 6 oz. or less on the reel (Core 100,Core 50,2007 Metanium MG,Aldebaran mg,Chronarch 50 mg)
  16. I'm also putting my vote in for yo zuri, good stuff!
  17. Been fishing Shimano reels since I was 8 yrs old,now 42 These reels have withstood the test of time and I also do reel maintenance and hardly ever have someone bring me a Shimano other than just needing to be cleaned and lubed...congrats on your transition to all shimanos..the best they are in my opinion.
  18. I've got a CH 50 MG on a 6' 9" M/H Veritas and it is one sweet, jig pitchin combo...!
  19. I just recently purchased some yo zuri hybrid in 12-15#... stripped fluoro off of 5 reels before a tournament because I didn't wanna have any reels with fluorocarbon with me so I would just fish this stuff...what I found was, low memory, smooth casting, strong, good abrasion resistance and almost as sensitive as the fluorocarbon that I had been using..It's good stuff! only power-pro and yo zuri hybrid are on my rods now and in my opinion, that's all you need.
  20. Hey guys, as I stated above,I will give my review after fishing the yo-zuri hybrid. I stripped fluro off of 5 reels and put on 12 and 15# hybrid and this stuff is great! It is as expected after reading many reviews on it...sensitive,strong and very castable! I will not buy any more furocarbon cause this is all I need! Great product...Get some!!!
  21. I love the sensitivity of flurocarbon but have had some breakoffs on hooksets,I have been bass fishing for many years and really can't recall ever breaking a fish a fish off with mono on a hookset so im hoping this line will give me the best of both worlds(sensitvity and strength) I just ordered some 12 and 15 pound test and gonna fish it this weekend in a tourney so I'll give my thoughts on it after.
