  1. I need a drive shaft for A 100D/DSV part#BNT3554 they are pretty much non existent, been searching for months. I’ve searched all parts suppliers that I know of, Mike’s, dads ol tackle, ereplacement, local places, no luck. If anyone has a parts reel or knows where I might find one, Let me know
  2. Older Japanese made Shimano bait casters With 6 pin centrifugal braking system is all I use. Just set em and forget em. Been fishing Shimano’s for 40 yrs and I’m also a reel tech and hardly ever get Shimano’s with issues. Mostly just tear down, clean and lube and their good to go. They’ve just always work for me.
  3. Make sure that your spring washers are like this () and not like this ))
  4. They came with those aluminum drive gears from the factory to reduce weight.
  5. Good deal man! I would continue to use the aluminum gear if it is fine and no teeth are missing but go ahead and get a brass one to put back in case they get scarce. The AR Assist pawl is there in case the roller clutch bearing fails which do not do very often. I keep mine in my reels because of cold weather fishing which I find the roller clutch bearing will roll back when it’s cold out.
  6. You can take the anti reverse assist pawl out located on the top that the ears wrapped around ratchet and it will work fine and your noise will go away. Do you see it?
  7. The noise is coming from the anti reverse assist pawl sounds like. A lot of people take them out but I have 7 100D’s and I leave them in. It just needs to be taken apart and the brass ears squeezed in and put a little dab of grease before putting it back on the ratchet. Also, the main drive gear is made out of aluminum, it’s not plastic. The 100D’s and chronarch 50 mg’s are all I fish with. They have the exact same footprint and I just prefer it over the newer style. I also like the Traditional 6 pin Braking system. Just set em and forget em. Maybe you’ll get it quietened down bud. Great reels. Also if you want a brass gear to replace the aluminum, those gears can still be had but the pinions are almost impossible to find.BNT1325 is the part # for the main drive gear.
  8. Sunline flipping flurocarbon for bottom contact..strong and sensitive. I also fish night tournaments so the strips every 30" or so glow under black light. day or night It's the best of both worlds
  9. The fury 703c is one of my most versatile rods. Have it paired with a ch50mg and combo weighs about 10oz
  10. Guy’s I have 8 of these reels and they are my favorite Shimano has ever made but one has layed down on me. I know they’ve been discontinued for years and I’m trying to find a driveshaft and they are non existent from dads ole tackle,E-replacement parts and mikes reel repair. I work on reels and I usually get my parts from those suppliers. This is the Part I need, BNT3554. I know it’s a long shot but just checking to see if anyone else might know where to check or if they have a parts reel that I could purchase from them. Thanks!
  11. The sale must be over on the Fury’s. They’re back at $119 on their website.
  12. I've got a set in my CH50MG and I like em. One drop of oil and I put the shields on and they're pretty quiet for ceramic bearings.
  13. Sunline Flipping fluorocarbon 20-22#
  14. Is it the Gen 1 (black blank) or Gen 2 (red blank)?
  15. Here's what I do...I make a long cast in the yard and then pull off about 10 more yds, tie new braid onto line with Albright knot and spool till full,no guesswork and your good to go.
  16. 12# pline cxx 7' mh hammer rod 1/8-1/2 oz No problems at all
  17. I like older Japan made Shimano's. The Curado 100D throw light baits well, I have 4 of them and 2 100DSV's, been great reels for yrs. The Chronarch 50mg is even better for light baits.
  18. I have a 734 fury and it's what I use for those size jigs. It works well with plenty of backbone! I own 6 fury's, 734\735\2@733\703 & 705cb..Good rods!
  19. That's exactly what I use too, Never had it fail me and been tying it for years
  20. I'd be interested in your cu-200 if you'd like to sell it, I need one for parts
