  1. How about Andy Dalton? Stats vs Browns Passing 10 completions on 33 attempts for 86 yards. Completion percentage 30.3% Average 2.6 yards per pass attempt. 0 TDs 3 INTs Quarter back rating of 2.0 Source: http://www.nfl.com/player/andydalton/2495143/gamelogs
  2. Nah in my experience the EWG's snag less and the straight shanks snag more.
  3. I like it when the water is warm and muddy in color, the sun is out and it is a beautiful day. Fishing from shore I pitch bulky jigs within 10-15 of shore and work it back, the big fish like to come up shallow during those times and it is so much fun.
  4. In a few weeks there will be ads popping up online for Gander/BPS/Dick's/Cabela's/Etc. They usually have maybe 1 good deal on rod/reels for black friday. just search google: Black friday 2014 Gander Mountain and the other stores names. As mentioned earlier TW does a percent sale off on most products, I can't remember exactly but it is probably 15-20% which isn't bad. The best part about TW is that they ship the rods for free (assuming over $50) which some places do not do and that can be really expensive. If you are looking for a really inexpensive reel, I highly recommend the Shimano Caius. It retails 69.99 and is nearly identical to the Shimano Caenan which retails 89.99. With the black friday sale at TW you would be getting a Caius for $55-59 which is pretty much a $90 reel. I have two Caius's and they are my favorite reels.
  5. Usually just a late Spring/ Summer bait for me, but I live in Wisconsin. So the temperatures are quite different between you and I.
  6. One fall day last year the only fish I caught was on a Colorado Spinnerbait. I was flipping the spinnerbait. With my crankbait rod. Don't judge me.
  7. I know this is a bit late, but Detroit Lions kicker update: Signed Matt Prater, he missed 2 field goals, Lions must be cursed, haha. Here is one of those ridiculous stats that ESPN came up with. So far this season the Lions are 5/15 on field goals this season(which is absolutely atrocious). The Lions's Kicker's 10 missed field goals in the Lions first 6 games is 1 more miss than Lion's retired kicker Jason Hansen had in his 21 years he spent with the lions.
  8. That looks awesome!!! A black widow dry fly would look pretty sick.
  9. Texas rig, finesse flip
  10. be sure to tell us what else you pick up!
  11. I prefer to have a small plastic chunk threaded on mine.
  12. These are the kind of snaps I like. They are good all around, strong enough for what I need, don't affect action of my lures, and are small enough that it doesn't bug me. These are the Fastach Clips jderry mentioned. I tried them, and they work well, I just didn't like the length of them. I prefer the duo lock style.
  13. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO I cannot stand them. I do use snaps, duo-lock snaps. What I do is I remove the split rings off of the front of my hardbaits and then just use a one of the duo-lock snaps. I use a smaller size because a lot of metal hanging in front of your lure is not only a visual turn-off, but also because it can negatively subdue and ruin actions of crankbaits and jerkbaits. It also can make topwaters sink/work improperly. You would only want the swivel if you were fishing a lure that causes line twist like a spoon. Otherwise it is just extra, unwanted, messy hardware.
  14. Lake sturgeon!! Mine went 51" Caught it while fishing with a friend that likes to fish for whatever is biting
  15. Had a very large Muskie that must have been 46-50 Inches follow my spinnerbait to shore when I was bank fishing one day when I was younger. It came up and ever so slowly inhaled my spinnerbait. My jaw dropped, and in total shock, I just stood there like an idiot and watched it 2 seconds later spit my spinnerbait out and slowly swim away... That one still haunts me...
  16. I'm a fan, haven't quite gotten to all of the books yet. Girlfriend converted me. Those who don't like Harry Potter haven't given it a chance. Gotta read them books.
  17. Thoroughly disappointed with my Lions sad performance against the bills. Their problem is that they seem to play down to the competition, and the missed field goals hurt. 8 missed field goals on the season so far :/ hopefully we can pick up Matt Prater.
  18. ^^ there have been a lot of early whistles this season all around. If the play is a turnover it has to be reviewed anyway, just don't blow the dang whistle.
  19. Ditto. But if I am fishing with my dad, sometimes he will tie on something ridiculous and catch a fish on it
  20. ^ Most baits priced strike king and up come with oval split rings
  21. I have the 7'2" jigworm, and had the 7' senko toad. They are good rods for the price, but I think there are better rods. I have heard nothing but raving reviews for the *** rods, same with the 99$ Ducketts. But if you can find a discounted price on the tessera's they are not bad rods at all.
  22. I found a storm magwart a few weeks ago, various cranks. Probably the most expensive was a Rapala Clackin Minnow, retails for about 11 bucks I think. It wasnt in great shape so I left it for someone else to find. Last year I was fishing from shore from a spot for a good 15 minutes and when I turned around, I noticed a 5' berkley cherrywood spinning rod with an old shimano reel, probably my best find. It makes a good panfish rod when I take kids out.
  23. I have a baitcasting reel that is rated for 145 yards of 12lb diameter. I want to spool 40lb suffix 832 which has a 10lb diameter. I have a 150 yd spool, so should I spool the entire thing or leave some off? having 10 or 20 yards of braid leftover is kind of useless, but if spooling to near the maximum will compromise performance I would like to avoid that.
  24. This is how I fish them. I put them to more work this summer. I fish them in dirtier water and the best advice I can give is to fish them with a medium retrieve in dirty water until you catch some fish. Catching that first fish is usually enough to gain some confidence in the bait.
