What I want to know is after a cold front, where will the redfish and trout be, and do the shut down like a bass. also types of baits to try early and mid day. I live in Florida and I will be going on saturday out of bayport by weekie wachee, so any advice would help.

No its not that big of a job, just get the proper torque specs and a manual took me about 1 1/2 hours.

Chech the thermastats,if good your water pump housing could be defective, also make sure your head gaskets ar not blown which could cause a overheating problem at high RPM, and as well your hoses from the thermastats to the motor. I had a motor whith the same problem and it was a blown head gasket then a defective water pump housing that was leaking, and my buddy has a merc 200 that overheated caused from the bypass hose haveing a split in it.

no not a problem shut the water off then the motor dont wait more than about 10 sec, on that motor you should b efine

It wont be a problem just try to let it warm up before shutting it down. It's freezing in Florida too,about 2 weeks ago the low was 15 and high was 32 and I fired up my motor no problem and now its a brutal 74 out

In April you messin with spring break I live just north of clearwater and am there often. I love the beaches and hate the traffic, St. Augusting in my mind is the BEST vacation spot in florida. I go every year with my family, plus your only and Hour and a half from Universal Studios which you are never to old for Also alot of history with Spain coming here, you have the old jail, ripley's, light house, gator farm, there is just so much to do. now dont get me wrong I love clearwater but all you have is the beach and not much else.
