Let me start by saying thanks in advance for any help! I'm running a Gen 3 HDS 9 at my console and a 3D Structure scan module. When I turn the unit on, 7 out of 10 times I have to hard reset the head unit before it will actually process the signal. If the structure scan is working and I restart the unit, it is likely that the structure scan does not work. Anyone else run into this? I talked with a Lowrance pro recently and he suggested I roll back the software to version 7.0 and thought the issue was due to an update that didn't install properly. I've ruled this out now because I'm experiencing the same issue with the old software.

Any interest in giving this another go? New to the area and wouldn't mind meeting a few other anglers and picking up some local know how.

I am seriously considering upgrading the electronics on my boat to an HDS-8 or 10. After speaking with the service dept and my boat dealer he said that mounting units with internal antennas behind windshields often cause problems with the gps connect-ability. I was wondering if anyone had any info/experience with that. Any other guidance or recommendations is appreciated. Thanks

I am going down to lake Shelbyville (IL) this up coming weekend? This is the earliest I've evr been down there aNd am looking for a few tips on fishing for largemouth a this time? If all else fails I will just target some crappie but I hOpe to get some LMs. The cold front that is going to push rough IL doesn't appear to be to helpful to fishing conditions either. Was fishin Lake Shelbyville, IL and killin'm w shallow diving crankbaits at the weed edges and a rage toad at every laydown/change in contour. Only problem was that the Rage Toad wasn't running right side up all the time. On the start of the return it would run fine for 5-10 foot then roll over and run upside down all the way back to the boat. I tried a smaller hook(4/0 to 2/0) to decrease water drag and went to a superline hook(2/0 and 4/0) hopin a lil extra weight would help but neither did. Wat should i do to keep this frog runnin true? Or am i just an idiot?

I was just there last weekend. Couldn't get a d**n thin to bite a spinner bait for the life of me. We got out for the morning bite on sunday and it paid off. Shallow cranks on the edge of smart weeds. Keep a buzz frog tied on too for the laydowns you will pass. In the first 2 hrs, 5 fish, 13-15lb bag. Biggest being a 20" hawg. IVe actually done really well down there this year.

Shelbyville anyone? Gonna be down there w/ seom buds this weekend. Current reports? Tips? anyone gonna be in the area?

and what might the name of this magical lake that holds all the bass over 1.5 lbs in illinois be?!
