  1. Look around on the trailer frame. Should be a tag indicating what style hub and then go from there.
  2. Like this.
  3. I use 'em, rigged like this.
  4. Check the weather/wind and use common sense. Maybe a decent marine radio just in case.
  5. Go for the hitch. Look around at all those pickups with the bumper pulled down. Case closed.
  6. Try this. http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-add-a-trailer-hook-for-bass-fishing-274473/
  7. Uncle Josh http://www.unclejosh.com/unclejosh/modules/cart/products.php/nav_id/123/page/1/id/230/name/UJPorkerHook30RED40RED50BRONZE
  8. Spray on all the time. Spooling, overnight, even while fishing. When bottle is empty, buy some more. Kevin will personally thank you.
  9. I was watching Hank Parker schooling, I think his nephew on VS. The kid was missing a bunch of hook ups jig fishing. Hank noticed the kid was lowering the rod tip before the set. Told him when you feel the bite, take in the slack without lowering the rod tip and sweep set. Bottom line it worked, at least on TV.
  10. Recommendations, or feedback will be appreciated. No workshop available so fabrication is not an option. Google has pointed me in this direction. http://transducershieldandsaver.com/home/ http://www.transducerarmor.com/index.cfm
  11. Reliability>Speed
  12. Bottom of the split ring.

That may be one of the most asinine statements I have ever read on this forum. Burley before he became an expert and moved to southwest bygod. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhdE2YlKOjQ
  14. Don't know if it's true. But it wouldn't surprise me.
  15. After re-reading your initial post, I assume the trolling motor is the only means of propulsion. If that's the case, more is better. Good choice. I'm not a big proponent of Walmart but, with the prices of some deep cycle batteries at $200 +, common sense plays a big part. Hell, the Pros on tour shop there all the time because there's a Walmart in just about every town.
  16. I've been using them for years. Good performance. There really is only a few companies that make batteries. Johnson Controls has been around a long time. ...Johnson Controls now supplies original equipment batteries for leading automakers, including DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Honda, Nissan, and Toyota. A stable of leading battery brands, including DieHard, Duralast, Interstate, ProStart, and Everstart, along with others, all bear Johnson Controls signature. Aftermarket service is also important, and customers represented in this segment of the market include AutoZone, Interstate Battery, Sears, Wal-Mart, and Costco... http://www.themanufacturer.com/us/profile/204/Johnson_Controls?PHPSESSID=c88bc
  17. In Michigan, Lake St. Clair or Lake Erie. See this guide. http://www.greatlakesbassfishing.com/index.html
  18. EverStart group 27 at Walmart. $62.00. (Battery is made by Johnson Controls).
  19. Works for me...and will allow me to change up without having to retie!! Thanks Ding ding ding...we have a winner.
  20. Had the same problem on mine. Some transducers are hinged at the bracket. If not locked in, they will be forced up when underway and signal loss is imminent.
  21. Garmin 160C. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=292#ff160c Google for a better price.
  22. My bass boat had one when I bought it. When having it serviced, the mechanic mentioned that in most cases, a hydrofoil is a bandage for other issues. He suggested I remove it and evaluate. I did and lost about 1800 RPM's and about 12 MPH. The boat also pulled big time to the left. I'm sure I could have played around with motor trim tab or adjusted the motor's height etc. (not easy) but in the end, I put the foil back on and all is well.
  23. Seems like a bit of a guilt complex as you know who planted the brush. Look at it this way. If I was fishing your lake and found those piles, I'd be fishing them. If you were fishing my lake and found some brush piles, I'm pretty sure you'd be fishing them as well.
  24. Find one here. http://www.animatedknots.com/indexfishing.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com
