Veritas
I don't really know how to rate the sensitivity. It's definitely more sensitive than the BPS Crankin Stick or the Daiwa glass rods I've been using for the past few years. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Veritas
I have the 7' M M/F Veritas. It does handle more like a MH than a M and it is closer to fast than mod-fast. I originally got it for shallow to medium cranks but it now is a spinnerbait rod. I'm also going to pick up another for deep cranks. I used it last week throwing a 5 size Fat Free Shad and it performed well.

New Crankbait Rod
I have the Veritas and like it for deep cranks and 3/8-1/2oz spinnerbaits. I originally got it for shallow-medium cranks but it's a little faster action than I like for that. It also feels closer to a MH than M power. I do like the rod just not for what I originally purchased it for. Someone posted a weight on the rod at 4.1oz. When you put an older Revo Premier on it it's an incredibly light combo! It also feels very good with the 5:1 Fuego I use for deep cranks. The Falcon may be a good choice. I have handled the 7' M Bucoo in a store and it felt pretty good. I have no experience with the other 2 at all so I won't comment on them.

Veritas vs Vendetta rods
I've heard that about the seat, but I'm not sure. I really haven't paid too much attention to the reel seat at all. I have the 7' M MF and haven't noticed any problem with sensitivity. I've thrown 3/8-1/2 spinnerbaits, LC Clunn's, and various other cranks with it and it seems sensitive enough to me. It is stiffer than I was expecting so it's been moved over to spinnerbaits instead of shallow-medium cranks which is what I originally got it for. I do think it would make a good squarebill rod though. I used it today for throwing a deeper running crank and it performed well. I only used a 5-size Fat Free Shad, I will try a DT10 & 16 next time out. I had my 5:1 Fuego on it and it's a really good feeling combo!

BPS Reel Parts - Outdoor World Rod & Reel Repair
I have got a couple of orders from them as well and it's always good service and a great price!! I just placed an order for some handles the other day. Everytime I call asking if they sell them I get a "no...but we might be able to get you a couple out of the scrap bin" . I ordered 2 of these handles (that come with comfortable knobs & bearings), 4 handle nuts, nut retainers, and retainer screws. The total on the order came to less than $30!! BPS in general has always given me great service. Anytime I've had a problem with anything they take care of me.

My first bass on a swimbait (High Power Herring)
Congrats on the swimbait fish!!! I just started using them a month or so ago and I can't buy a bite!! :-[ The lake I'm fishing in NE Arkansas is where the state record came out of and I really expected to do pretty good on them. There's so many 3"-5" shad in this lake. Since mid-September they have been balled up so bad that it looks like a stream running thru the lake, just a line of shad for 30 yards in front of my boat. I have threw the Yum soft baits, Storm 4" baits, Strike King King sexy swimmer and the Tru Tungsten 5" baits and have been able to do anything.

Does anyone use the Extreme BPS Rods??
I used Extremes for years and caught lots of fish with them. I don't like them as much with the new lockdown foregrip as I did the older rods, but that's just personal preference. The Extreme/Curado 100b (and I'm sure newer models) combos were very comfortable to fish with. The thing that bothered me the most with the BPS rods was the short handle. It could be solved by getting the weight balance kit though. I just took the screw-in balance kit and stuffed pieces of plastic grocery bags in there and left the weights out. I could get the handle a little longer and balance the rod out a little more with some of the weights if I wanted to.

Ike snapping verdict rod
I'm having more problems with the porno moustache than I am the broken rod!

Zoom Baby Brush Hogs ?
I trig them with a 3/8oz tg weight & 2/0 straight hook. I caught my biggest this past summer (7lbs 2oz) on the watermelon candy.

Fall fishing just isn't happening for me...
I didn't say there was too much, so much. The best way I cant think to describe it is like looking for a certain gang in Manhattan. You know they're there, but there's so many buildings, streets and alleys that it makes them very hard to find!

Fall fishing just isn't happening for me...
I haven't really been catching much this fall either. 1 of the lakes I have been fishing the most is roughly 300 acres and just completely loaded up with shad. It's also got so much cover with stumps and cypress trees that it's hard for me to locate fish I have been trying to get the hang of fishing hard swimbaits and have not got a single bite. I don't know if it's because there is an abundance of shad or what. The few fish I have been catching is either on a 10" worm or baby brush hog.

Abu Garcia Veritas
I've got a 7' M I'm using for spinnerbaits. I've got an 08 Premier on it and it's an unbelievably light combo! I haven't stuck a fish with it yet, but I really don't foresee any problems. I will probably end up with another 7' M and a 7:1 Premier by springtime for topwaters, buzzbaits, and traps.

Will seem like a bragging, boasting, gloating... but it's just excitement!
congrats on the new boat!!!! I feel your excitement, I just got a 2002 PT175 this week. After years of fishing out of small boats I don't have a clue what it's going to be like out of a stable boat!

bottom width on 2002 Tracker PT175?
Im pretty sure that's just the past couple of years. On the Tracker board I got an answer of 54". I do think that sounds about right.

bottom width on 2002 Tracker PT175?
Hi, does anybody happen to know what the bottom width is on the 2002 Tracker 175's? I know the new ones are 60" but I don't think they made them as wide then.

My New Combo (:
what is it?

My New Combo (:
congrats on the new setup!!! I have 2 of the PQT's and they're essentially a CarbonLite in a different color, different handle and no clicking cast control. The spool is not drilled as much either. I'm very happy with the reels.

BPS Pro Qualifier vs BPS Carbonlite
Sorry I can't answer your question, but I just got a CL in the other day and I'm very impressed with it!

Daiwa B/C gear swap?
Naw just call Daiwa and they'll help you with everything. They were extremely nice to me.
-
Daiwa B/C gear swap?
Get the TDZ 5:1 gear set. I just changed over a Fuego to 5:1 last month. I had previously measured 27" IPT with the stock 6.3:1 gears, now it's 20.5". I would suggest getting a TDZ handle from Daiwa for the Fuego. It knocks a little weight off (not much but anything helps!) and is smoother with the bearings under the knobs. A very nice $40 upgrade.

BPS carbonlite reel
It had scales on it!

BPS carbonlite reel
I've got one on the way, should be here tomorrow or Monday. I didn't really need another reel, but they're on sale and I had a $20 off coupon. I'm anxious to see how it fairs against the older Revo Premier I have.

how important is an expensive rod
All things being equal (when does that ever happen?) I believe a higher grade of equipment can help catch more fish. I don't think there is a huge difference between $200 rods and $400 rods. I have 1 Steez rod/reel combo that I use for trigs and really love it. It doesn't make fish magically jump in the boat, but I can definitely tell the difference in feel from the TDS rods I was using. It's something I wanted for a few years and finally got a little extra money I could spend. After receiving it, I actually felt guilty for spending that much and put it up for sale. It didn't sell in a couple of days so I decided to hold on to it and am glad I did. I have been looking for a used Zillion rod for a couple of weeks just to see how close the performance of each rod is to one another. The Zillions don't seem to take as much of a hit in resale that the Steez rods do. You can get a good deal on the Steez but it seems like you might as well buy the Zillions new.

Abu's Verdict
Im pretty sure these are supposed to be their premium rods. Whether they will be or not is to be decided after release.
