I lost a 5 pounder that would've won my dad and I our first team tournament with a really good club in NY. It took a second for it to process after she tail walked and spit my jig. After my next cast, I reeled up, swore incredibly loudly, and snapped my Legend Extreme over the gunnel of the boat. My dad, who is incredibly mellow, yelled at me for the first time since I was a kid (I was in my mid-20s at the time). We missed first place by 0.2 lbs. I'm certainly not proud of that moment. I can tell you though, I've never had a meltdown like that since. I still get emotional every now and again during tournaments, but I've matured quite a bit and can control those emotions much better now.

I have a plastic bin with about 25 packs of craw fatties that haven't been touched in about a year.

Rage craw or chigger craw.

I bought some like 5 or 6 years ago and the bottle is still over 3/4 full. I didn't notice much difference with it on. Don't think I'll be buying anymore.

I'm not a huge fan of Abu Garcia, but I ordered a Premier last night. If the others had the faster retrieves on sale, I'd probably get a couple more.

The Occoquan Res. kicked my butt yesterday. Only had 5 bites. Caught three of them and jumped off two 3+ pounders. Pretty sure the bass are right in the middle of spawning. The carp definitely are. They were all over the grass splashing around.

Those are crazy prices. I told myself I was just going to stick with Shimano and Daiwa...Couldn't pass up a Revo Prem for $115! Would've gotten an STX if the higher speeds were also $80! Thanks for making me spend more money

I totally agree with you Glenn and actually have those Ardent balls. Been using them for a long time and love'em. The reason I'm looking at the non-puncturing ones is because of the proposed (might even be a reg. now) regulation banning puncturing clips during tournaments on the Potomac. Just tryin' to cover my butt!

Anybody use these cull tags? They're a little cheaper than the Cal Coast non-puncturing cull tags but I'm not sure how well the clips hold. Anybody have any experience?

It's funny, I did the same thing...checked out reviews on TW after I saw the deal.

Only fished there twice, but did well there last saturday in the BFL. Don't bother with the a-rig. The fish are in shallow grass, 1-4 ft, most of the time. Not sure if incoming or outgoing tide is best (haven't fished there enough to figure that out). Almost everybody that fishes the river is throwing a senko or bladed jig.

I use the rage bug on a T-rig, as a jig trailer, and on a swing head. Great little bait.

My dad did this years ago when we would fish for smallmouth in the fall. He'd tie a tube at the bottom with a goby style dropshot bait up top. It does work but it's more hassle than it's worth. The fish bite one or the other, RARELY both. Like @A-Jay said...you're going to lose quite a few soft plastics also.
