  1. You definitely can with either of those rods.
  2. I flip 3/4 oz jigs on the 7'11 H moderate fast Extreme. It's amazing (except St Croix needs to add an extra stripper guide at the bottom). I also have a 7'0 mh fast Extreme. I don't like throwing jigs over 1/2oz on it but it would definitely work for your spinnerbaits and t-rigged plastics. I often use mine to skip docks with a 1/4 to 1/2oz jig. The 7'6 mhmf is actually meant for light flipping/pitching, so yes, it would be fine for jigs. I have the same spec rod in the Rage line.
  3. My dad was stationed at Fort McCoy in WI when I was 4. That's when he got me into fishing. I vaguely remember a place called the North Flowage we used to go to. I remember there being a ton of timber in it. My dad liked it a lot. I'd love to go back there with him, now that we really know how to catch bass.
  4. I'm not really sure what the "deciding factor" was for me. All I know now is that I couldn't see myself not competing at some level. The excitement and feeling I get from catching a 4 pounder during a tournament is a million times more intense than catching a 7 while fun fishing. Don't get me wrong, I still have an incredible time anytime I go fishing. It will always be fun, enjoyable, and relaxing for me. The emotional response I get from competing is just so much more intense. That goes both ways though. The highs are incredibly high and the lows are incredibly low. I will tell you, my heart doesn't beat nearly as fast when I'm fishing for fun. I just don't get that uncontrollable shaky, grinning, giggly, excitement when I'm not fishing a tournament. It's definitely not for everyone but I say give it a shot.
  5. Those guys crack me up. Birge starts the show saying how he's gonna watch to see where guys are so if they start catching them, he'll know where to go. Then in the third period Wheeler started fishing in the same area Birge was catching them in the second period, which ticked him off. Freakin cannibals man.
  6. 5 wires, 3 hooks for A-rig. It's useless on the River though.
  7. You'll control it when you run outta cash;)
  8. 9am - 11am then again from 2:30pm to 4pm. Those are my favorite times to fish.
  9. Can't let stuff like that get to you. Not everyone is going to get along or like what the other says. Say your piece and move on. I've wondered why some threads get locked down but I certainly don't lose sleep over it. There's still tons of good info/conversation to be had at BR.
  10. Jig, jig, and more jig. Less working parts = less rigging time = more fishing!
  11. Spro Bronzeye in Killer Gill
  12. I mentioned it in another sunglasses thread...check out 6pm.com. I got 2 pairs of really nice polarized Spys for around $35-$40 a piece. These were $150 glasses. They're really nice. Well, the pair that's not at the bottom of Lake Ontario.

  14. If it was BOGO Max 3Ds, Id be all over it.
  15. I'm a GIS Analyst. It's cool, but it's not fishing. Can't say I'd ever be 100% happy doing any job because it wouldn't be fishing lol.
  16. That's a good friend right there!
  17. Man I hear ya. Nice warm front coming in today hear. 80s today and tomorrow then the cold front hits just in time for the BFL on Saturday. 65 and cloudy...not bad by any means but now it's got me rethinking my strategy.
  18. Where the heck did you find a Tat for $15?!

Love me some flatbill hats. I'll admit they're a bit goofy but they block so much more sun.
