  1. Sliding into home plate or stealing a base?
  2. For less than three hundred bucks you can get an entry level kayak at Wally world. Expands your fishing area exponentially. Just saying.
  3. I still fish worms a lot. I use them weightless if the bottom is muck. They can be fished at different speeds and with different sizes, weights, colors, and actions. I probably use them 3:1 over jigs. Maybe you need a little reaquintance with them. I applaud your use of jigs, though.
  4. An old fly guy once said, "for Bass just put some dangle crap on a hook." You just have to figure out size, depth, speed and color. I don't believe shape matters.
  5. Could be bass after shad. Try a spinner, or u vibe worm in shad colors. Buzz, let die
  6. They've been sitting around for a while. Gonna try them. I used to catch trout on them.
  7. It is always miserable herd (MS) 4 or 5 months a year. I would like to say that you get used to it, but you don't. Be smart in the heat, and keep your pets cool!
  8. I have had the crud and can't shake it. On my second round of antibiotics. Anyway, I have been bored, so I have dressed some treble hooks, rearranged my boxes several times, replaced hooks on my hard baits, etc. It all sort of needed doing. My wife my murder me in my sleep.
  9. I found some gràpe with red glitter zoom worms. They don't sell them everywhere. A couple years ago I got my PB on that color. Could not resist. Shipping was as much as a pack of worms!
  10. Sounds like my home water. Dark plastics with glitter. What has been said above. I have no luck with anything remotely finesse.
  11. Do you even need o rings on elastec?
  12. Senko and Ned rig. I don't get it. Supposed to be numbers baits. I have caught a couple dinks on each. Tried taking only them, several times. I do well with t rig worms, but not t tig senkos. Go figure. Wacky didn't work either.
  13. Looks like it made you some Ned rigs
  14. My DSG had very complicated sales. You have to be careful and read the signs. Seems each brand has a different deal. Still my favorite brick and mortar store, and on my way to work.
  15. I can say I have been disappointed in some rods, but never regretted them.
  16. I hate the timeshare salespeople hounding me. Also, their emphasis seems to be on bps brands.
  17. Some stay shallow all summer, but sometimes I don't find them either.
  18. It is different for customer's too.
  19. I had one and it always felt crowded and hard to move around ln. However, it may fit your needs.
  20. Will elaztec react with a chatterbaits skirt or other silicone skirt?
  21. Hey, you are finding fish. That is the hard part! I used the improved clinch knot for years with no problem, but now I prefer the uni knot shown above. It is more versatile. You can use a uni to snell a hook, tie on a hook, join line to a reel, can use a double uni to join a leader to line, etc. It is good for stiff line. Just slobber on it (That is southern for moisten with saliva) when you tighten it dowm. As stated above, the hook gap should be twice the width of the plastic. Watch Glenn's videos on rigging. It is a good idea to use a swivel and leader on a spinning rod to prevent line twist. That is a swivel between line and leader and not a snàp swivel. IMHO. Swivels have lb strength just as lines do. Avoid the cheap brass ones for Bass. ANY GOOD NAME BRAND HOOKS WORK, JUST BE SURE TO USE SUPERLINE HOOKS ON BRAID AND REGULAR HOOKS ON MONO. Now go catch some fish! Welcome to the forum.
  22. Thanks for posting this.
  23. I don't do well on the Ned. I have only used it in very muddy water. I like the concept, though.
