  1. Check out Lure Parts Online, Jann's Netcraft or Barlow's. All online lure parts places, just do a search for them.
  2. Awesome job! Was it hard to keep the paint consistent with the segmented body?
  3. Here a couple of swim jigs I put together for someone this week. I really like airbrushing the heads, it gives them a whole different look. This is a dulled down perch. I didn't want it to look too much like firetiger. The other is a version of tequila sunrise. Next up, sexy shad.
  4. They used to make a 4" finesse worm that was great. They dicontinued it I guess. Haven't been able to find them in a long time. They also had a color called chocolate mint that worked real well. It was a blue brown mix.
  5. Once it's hooked I don't know how much there is to follow up. If it swipes a the bait it's one thing, but to fight it for a little, I don't think it would bite again that fast.
  6. I'm going to try the Alberto and also double the braid for the uni. Thanks.
  7. I spooled a spinning rod w/ 20lb power pro and added an 8lb yozuri hybrid leader (approx 6 ) using a double uni knot. Not on fish, but when I get snagged and try to pull in out it always breaks at the knot, never down the leader. I assume the braid is cutting the leader? Any suggestions or reasons? Thanks.
  8. Baby 1- Black Gold for me.

Are these Arkie heads from Arkie, or are they Arkie type from another manufacturer? I use ones that are poured with Mustad Black Nickle's and have never had a problem. Maybe this is he way to go. Get them done privately and choose your hook. If your interested, Cadman on this site pours some great stuff.
  10. Early spring- suspending rogue- long sweeps and pauses Summer- floating rapala- swim just underneath the surface or twitch on top
  11. 1/4 black jig and black craw trailer 4" black blue flake senko 4" white Keitech swing impact
  12. Nice! The colors really stand out.
  13. Fish the same baits and colors as during the day. My go to baits at night are an all white buzzbait, blade and skirt and a Nichols Pulsator spinnerbait in white gold color. I do well with dark colored plastics though.
  14. Just tried again, still no good. I pm'd someone else, no problem. Shoot me an email about the jigs at backwater4@verizon.net if interested. I know when they switch the site all pm's had to be cleared, maybe this is the issue.
  15. Tried to send you a PM, it wouldn't let me for some reason. I don't see the pic, but do have hidden eye stand up brush jigs in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. Send me an email if your interested and I'll give you more info. backwater4@verizon.net Cadman does have the heads, also.
  16. It's not that I minded paying (well, ya I do) but I was caught off guard. Really nothing I buy there is exclusive to them, it's all just normal stuff I can purchase anywhere.
  17. Try the suskiebassmasters website, they have good info and a link to a e mag about the river and techniques.
  18. It used to be a deal to buy online, but with increased shipping and tax now, it's cheaper to buy locally or from small custom guys.
  19. Great looking baits!
  20. Welcome from another Long Islander.
  21. Guess I have to stick with *** and small custom guys. BPS used to be a deal without the tax, now it's like everything else.
  22. X3... 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 are finesse weights where I'm fishing.
  23. I haven't order from them in a while, but since when do they charge sales tax on internet orders?
  24. Cast to a target or good looking bank, hop it, drag it or swim it slowly back to the boat or bank. It's a very simple bait to use and once you get that first bite, you'll be hooked. It's fished like a worm.
