Haven't used the fat ones, but the regular ones work real well. They do tear easily though. I'm sure the others are the same.
  2. Just like the rest. A suspending jerkbait is the way to go. Use long pauses between jerks.
  3. Great looking jigs. Love the painted heads. Awesome.

Cadman's right on, Bone Heads hair jigs are top notch. ....especially tied on Cadman's heads.
  5. Swim, swim, swim it.
  6. Better in the rock and open water than a grass jig. I've even been using smaller ones around the docks with good success. Just not great when weeds are around.

    8-) Nice work.
  8. Wacky rigged 3" or 4" senko or a Keitech 4" Swing Impact, weightless.
  9. x2. You could also pull strands off the tinsel type skirt and only use part of it.
  10. x4, no need.
  11. Those sizes and styles should be fine for the cover/structure you described. No need to get crazy. If your going to be grass fishing, I would add some jigs designed for grass. Also in those sizes.
  12. Any spiders/hulas work great for smallies. The Cabin Creeks and Yammies are my favorite. 1/4 football head, no weedguard.
  13. Gman, O rings work great for wire tying. They come off real easy and hold up real well. Much better than cutting collars in half. As for permanently holding skirts on, Cadman is right on the money. They roll to easy and do not work.
  14. If I had to pick it would be the firetiger color, but the other is very nice also. Great job!
  15. Bone Head ties some awsome jigs! Can't wait for ice out to try them. Thanks again. Dominic
  16. Endorsements have "0" influence on if I buy or not. I've never had much success fishing what other people like. I pretty much do my own thing.
  17. I've had more success with a light perch color spinnerbait the last few seasons over the traditonal white or chart. I always add a few strands of red or orange, but have never tried full skirts of red or orange. Might be something to try.
  18. Both look great! The ones on the left are 8-) though.
  19. Vice definitely. Put the skirt in a band, slide it on the hook and position, wire tie ahead of band and slide band off. I leave the strands together until finished, then separate. Don't put to much pressure when wrapping the wire, it can cut the skirt. After a few, you get used to it. Hope this helps.
  20. They're a great cold water bait. They also work very well in tidal water and rivers. I like smoke or avacado best. I fish them on a ball head just like any other grub. All species of bass like them.
  21. Berkley discontinued the two best baits they made, the 4" finesse worm and the ringworm. Basically fished them both the same way. Now I use mostly Luck E Strike abd custom pours. I still have a few Power Worm bags though.
  22. Yup X2, Luck E Strike and Berkley. Mostly on a 1/8 - 3/16 Spider Slider Head.
  23. X2 on what Skeeterman said. Also with the 30+ strand guard, I spilt them in half and get 2 jigs done with one guard. Normally a full guard is too stiff and half works very well.
