  1. Now thats a wild concept.
  2. Ponds like that are also good for practicing new lures and ones you have trouble with. Places with a lot of fish allow you to get the bites and get used to the feel and action of the lures.
  3. For small capacity spools I just put some electrical tape around the spool and wind away. On larger reels and my saltwater stuff, I always go with backing.
  4. Your a saint. The co angler would have went the way of the bass. Over the side. We had a guy in our club open his well to bag his fish and 3 jump over.
  5. Thanks. that helps a lot.
  6. It definitely might have hit something other than a Senko, but they do work and have their time and place.
  7. Ben, Thanks for the info. I'll try the Createx. Hopefully after while they'll be worthy of posting. :-[

    Nice looking baits!
  9. Green Pumpkin, T-rigged. Also weightless in very shallow ponds.
  10. A jig and a jig and buzzbait and a jig and did I mention a jig. But seriously: jig spook buzzbait brush hog hula grub on a football head
  11. I purchased an airbrush a few years ago with the intention of painting some baits and jigheads. The heads I would just use vinyl on, but what do I use on the cranks. Also what kind of prep do you guys do to the baits? Thanks.
  12. Very nice work!
  13. x2 on the learning. It's not worth beating yourself up over it, the smallie spot could have payed off as easily as it didn't. As long as you had a positive experience and fun, it's well worth it.
  14. Smash it off a dock!
  15. Like anywhere else, sometimes good, sometimes very good and a lot of times very difficult or it seems near impossible.
  16. Congrats, great job! I heard the fishing was super tough.
  17. I think the tournament your in is over, but just an fyi. Smallwood and Mattawoman hold a ton of fish, as do both points and around Trash Point. I've always done well with traps, 4" worms and jigs. Like someone said, all the creeks can hold good fish and tide plays a big factor. I like the outgoing.
  18. Cool! There's a lot of hardware on that. How's it catch? Any reports on it?
  19. That's more of a spoon or blade bait though. We use them for smallies in late fall / early winter for fishing deep structure. I don't think a true crankbait would run right, as others have said. I've c-rigged cranks with some success, but thats about it.
  20. 1/8 football jig w/ wire guard and some tiny craw trailer. All black.
  21. Nice stuff!
  22. Here's a few I made this week.
