Spinning Reels and Braid?
That's what I'm thinking. I respool(?) every 3 trips. I'm constantly cutting back line and retying.

Spinnerbaits in the "slop"
What do you mean by slop? Slop to me is matted over grass, water chestnut, pads, etc. If you guys get spinnerbaits through that stuff, more power to ya! That would drive me nuts. I'm more of a frog or pitchin type.

Spinning Reels and Braid?
Sounds good, I'm going to try a couple of setups. Thanks for the tips. Any specific kind? Thanks.

Spinning Reels and Braid?
I've read alot about heavier applications for braid, but not so much for light stuff. I'm looking to replace my 8 and 10lb mono outfits w/ say a 20/6 braid. I'd like to use these for finesse worms and jigs, senkos, grubs, etc. What are your thoughts? Leader, no leader. good choice or bad? Not sure if I'm going to do it yet, but I go through mono like no tomorrow and fiqure I can savr some money in the long run. I don't want to sacrifice fish though. Dominic

Chug or buzzbait in tourney?
I fish a buzzbait, if it's a team tournament, my partner is fishing some sort of popper. I like the buzzbait bcause you can throw it all day, under pretty much any circumstances.

Jigs without trailers
In the spring I've used a 1/8 wire guard football jig with the skirt trimmed way back and no trailer on bedding fish. I felt it would let them get the hook easier. Seemed to work well.

hook question
I've been fishing those style baits on a 60* ewg jig hook with a screw lock added. 1/0 and 2/0 sizes I find work best. The screwlocks really hold the baits on a long time without the heads tearing out.

New Favorite Stream Bait
My son uses them at the local ponds and catches tons of bass on them. He's using a Big Bite 1/16 head and his hook up rate improved subsantially. That watermelon red is a great color.

Wacky rigging - Is it really less productive than T-Rigging during the summer?
For some reason I'm finding the same thing. On lakes that were great with the wacky, this year a small bottom presentation seems to work better. Like Catt said, it probably has to do with the fish feeding on the bottom and not suspended in the water column.

What makes the perfect swim jig?
Very true. I'll check out the thread, thanks.

What makes the perfect swim jig?
I've been messing around with head styles, brush guards, sizes and colors. I'm leaning towards a 1/4 oz. modified arkie head w/ double wire guard in shad, perch or bluegill colors. What do you guys want in a swim jig?

suspended bass
Silver Buddy style baits or drop shot. I like the Buddy's, very fun and effective to fish. You can also try a verticle spoon.

Fishing in the weeds (not fun)
Thanks for the tips, I'll try them this weekend. It's a nice place to fish because it's trolling motor only and you have to rent the rowboat. Very quiet all day.

Fishing in the weeds (not fun)
Fished a lake this morning that was total weeds. If it wasn't to the top, it was 6" below the surface. Not just a part, the whole lake. It's very shallow. The problem wasn't the fishing. It was using the trolling motor. It was close to impossible. Fishing wasn't that bad though. We had 5 fish on frogs. They wouldn't hit anything else. I'm thinking push pole next time. Any suggestions?

What do you think of this....
;D I like the jig in the hand. No not David G. (I won't mention any names, unless I see him post or try this on someone else) Still hoping my baits will just appear.

What do you think of this....
I guess you always stand the chance of this happening. I e mail the guy back and forth throughout the transaction with no problem. Who knows maybe he's on vacation. :

What do you think of this....
I posted on another site, that I was looking to make a trade for some baits. Someone responds and we make a deal. Being that I started the post, I get the stuff together that was to be traded and send it out. That was 2 weeks ago. Never recieved the other baits and multiple IM's and e mails go unanswered. This really bugs that crap out of me. Now, I'm pretty sure I'm out about $30, with shipping (of course). >
