  1. Something I put together this morning. I call it Light Perch.
  2. Went with the 2 (31 Series) Blue Tops for the trolling motor and the Diehard PM 1 (31 Series) for the cranking battery. Also picked up a Minn Kota 330D charger. The old Dual Pro was a 1998 model and I didnt know how it would do with the AGM's. Thanks for the help.
  3. X2 on the round head, or even a small football. I fish a lot of ponds like that also and go with a 1/8 oz. Instead of the traditional fiber guard, I go with a single coated wire guard. It seems to work better on the real light jigs. All black seems to be best also.
  4. Thanks for the replies. Just what I was looking for.
  5. Looking to purchase 3, 31 series optima blue tops. Any pros/ cons, etc? I just want to make sure they're a good battery. Using an older dual pro charger also. Ok?
  6. Mohawk River / Crescent Lake and Saratoga Lake
  7. 3/8 is a great all around size.
  8. I'm putting together a jig package for a tournament in Texas and would like to know what are the best colors for the majority of the lakes in the state. Thanks.
  9. Had some nice bass on Sat. at a local pond. All fish were shallow on jigs and spinnerbaits. 6 total, ranging between 2 and 4 lbs.
  10. In CT, Candlewood, Lillinonah, and Zoar are all in the same area. All are good, with Candlewood being an excellent and consistant lake.
  11. Try fishingskirts.com, I think they have something close if not the same.
  12. X2 on both. Also a pair of round nose pliers makes the bend easier and more consistantly round. They're like needle nose, but round.
  13. +1 on tw or look on eBay, lots of free or low shipping lately.
  14. Usually smaller than lead of the same weight and much more expensive. These are the only two differences I know of.
  15. For lures, product at dealer cost with some freebies. For anything else, a discount, probably not that much though.
  16. Senko style baits, no weight. For baits like the old jersey rig or similiar, I put one or 2 small brads in one end.
  17. No rattle, but what you could do is insert a glass or metal rattle into your tralier if you need one. This way you have the best of both worlds.
  18. Single blade +1 on gold. Double blade go with 1 of each, but make gold the bigger top blade.
  19. Try a pumpkin mister twister 3" and 4" grub, also the green with the black line. Another good lure is a blue fox vibrax spinner in gold. These use to be the go to baits for smallies around black river and sandy creek in ny.

Super glue gel shouldn't leave a film. I think if you use regular super glue it's makes it's way up the weedguard a little.
  21. Yamamoto and keitech are go to's. I've also been trying some hand pours from different guys, nice stuff also. Keitechs are by far the most durable.
  22. They are normally very fast.
