Creature Baits
So when do you use Creature Baits? I have never tried them and was just curious to see what there uses are and which ones are the better ones? I like Yum's products. I have their hawg tail bait or something like that. Just t-rigged or carolina? I am just ignorant to these baits but very curious

strike king red eye shad finish problems?
Yeah I should have said in my post that it is mainly the chrome finishes I have a regular sexy shad ones and they last much longer. I guess the chrome finish is just thinner or something?

the bite lite lure?
your're not talking about laser lures are you?

strike king red eye shad finish problems?
You are not alone, the "Sexy Chrome" is a major killer to the LMBS and Hybrid Striped bass on my lake. I notice the hooks are garbage too. They break very easily. I hate that the chrome finish comes off so easily too. after about 4-5 fish it is torn up. I am just throwing them in the repaint bin now. Gonna try some XR50s to see if they are any better. I do have a lot of Rat-L-Traps but they don't do as well with the yo-yo retrieve IMO

Airbrush Maintenance Question
So I just got my new Iwata Revo BR in. I was reading the manual and it said to spray cleaning solvent throught the brush before using and immediately after. And to clean the needle do you just lightly wipe the needle down with the solvent? What else? What solvent do you use Denatured Alcohol?? Some help would be much appreciated. Gonna post this up at TU too but been getting more responses over here! Thanks Guys!

What's Your Favorite Shaky Head Setup?
My favorite would be a 6'6" compre rod with a 2500 series shimano reel. I use 8lb Trilene XL, I like the Gamakatsu Skip Gap Shaky head in 1/8oz I also like the lunker shaky heads too. Not a fan of the Lucky "E" Strike ones and the hooks are pretty much blunt. The owner ones are good too. If I was you look for a lighter wire hook. I have had better luck with those than the heavier ones. For the worm I like to use the Powerbait "Bama Bug" 5" shaky worms. Zoom Shaky Head worms in your usual colors. I like the Mardi Gras and Watermelon colors the best. That's what I use. I have caught about 70% on my bass on the above set-ups this pre-spawn 8-)

Fat Ika
Ok maybe a dumb question but I've never used these before and I wanted to order some from Tackle Warehouse along with some other soft baits. I was wondering if you guys could suggest a certain color? Our water here right now and until the late summer is a deep green with a visiblity of about ~2ft. I usually use watermelon Red, pumpkinseed, junebug, and watermelon. And some varieties beyond those. I know there is really no such thing as a "Perfect" Color so I was just wondering what you have liked in the past? Somebody told me RW did a write up on how to fish these or something? Could somebody post a link to the write up? THANKS GUYS TIGHT LINES

My Review of the Abu Garcia Orra SX
Yeah we do a population survey every season. I work part time for a lake management company. We do fishery stuff and also weed control. I should have rephrased that we have only gotten a 6.85 as out biggest so far. I bet there are some 7's curising around for sure until the spawn at least. They were stocked June of 2007. Yeah all in all very impressed with the reel. Of course love the rod too. I am still getting used to this braking system. I am used to using the sx that as just a knob on the side

Lake Fork Whack-N-Worm
Ok so I am a big believer in the Wacky worm set up when nothing else is working. I like the Gary Senkos of course. I also use the Yum Dinger and SK Ocho and like them too But I was wondering about the Lake Fork Whack-N-Worm. It looks like it will be deadly rigged whacky style but not too sure?? It may be more for catching me than the bass Any Thoughts?

My Review of the Abu Garcia Orra SX
I think they do Go For It!

I Still Hate Braided Line
Being a 1/2 Saltwater Fisherman and 1/2 Freshwater Fisherman. I love braid!!! But I do agree there are times where Mono/Flouro are superior. When fishing finesse I always use 8-10lb Trilene XL. I also like to use Segaur Flouro for certain applications. For SW its great around docks w/ Barnicles and oysters. Power Pro is the only braid I'll use. I've tried about every brand out there nothing lasts like PP

My Review of the Abu Garcia Orra SX
Well I wanted to get a new swimbait set-up for the LMBs in my area. I only use 3-5" swimbaits the bass in our current lake are no bigger than 6lbs right now. So I am a Abu Garcia Revo nut since the first time I casted my buddy's Revo S. So I decided to try out the Orra Sx which was advertised as a close second to the Revo S. I will have to say they were right! The reel is super light and super smooth. The Orra SX has 8 BB compared to the 9 of the Revo S(IIRC). The line capacity is average of any low profile Baitcaster. Well the next step was to match it up to a rod. I didn't wanna go with a swimbait specfic rod at 7'6" or anything so I went with the CRC70MH Shimano. Which is the Crucial series. I am a shimano nut too. Those are the only spinning reels and rods I'll buy anymore. I went out and caught a couple small fish on this rod using a spinnerbait and one on a Yum Money minnow in "hitch" color. All in all I would recommend either of these to anyone. I like the fact that the reel was right at $100 too . Here are some pics of my Baby. Well I still love my REVO SX with the TC4 Crucial Cranking Rod 8-)
