  1. LOL, I think you are right Diggy! I do have a big problem with my tackle. That is the first step to recovery, admitting I have a problem. But I can't stop buying or looking at fishing tackle. No intervention for me!
  2. After losing a fish, "Oh that was a giant" (probably a 14 incher) On soft plastic colors "having that purple flake made the difference in getting those fish to bite" (Really? Come on)
  3. Looks great on that Veritas. I've got mine on a Veritas too and tried it out this morning. EVERYONE, the new Revo S is now my favorite reel! I bought three and I truthfully feel it is as good as my $200.00 Chronarchs. I'm not kidding. For $129.95 it is a STEAL! It is awesome and so smooth. (Talk to your local tackle dealer, I asked mine if I would get any discounts if I bought 3 and he said yes, 15% with cash or 10% with credit card) That's why I buy from my local dealer. Anywho fished with it today for 4 hours and could not put it down. Way beyond my expectations so far.
  4. My tackle dealer says they will be in around 1st or 2nd week of October according to his supplier.
  5. I've got way too many. I probably have at least 75 still in the original packages. Why, I don't know. Probably have over 150 total. Still have some old Bagleys and the old Poes too.
  6. Hang in there Ryno, you might get them sooner. I ordered mine from my tackle guy last week and he got them quick. I've had to work the last couple of days but I'm sitting in my easy chair playing with the reels now. Hope to get them on the water this weekend.
  7. I always think I'm set and then something I think is better comes out so I "have to have it" or I will probably never catch another fish. No wonder I won't be able to retire someday. OK. this time I'm done. Naaahhhhhhh...... I need some new rods.
  8. My fault BassMan....didn't make them public. Should be able to see them now I hope.
  9. Fishwittler I think you might be correct on this one. Thanks for the information.
  10. If I need your help, I will make sure I don't send the dreaded "bag o parts" I'll only take it down to where I know I can put it back together
  11. Thanks, I'll look at that. Hey everyone, DVT and RM are great guys. They are always willing to help. And if myself or anyone else screw things up, you can always send it to them! LOL I really do appreciate the help you guys offer.
  12. Fella's, my local tackle dealer called me and said my new Revo S's came in. Had to pick them up immediately. They are sweet. Very compact, lighter and a wider spool. They look awesome. They seem very smooth but I won't get to try them out until Friday. I picked up 3 of them to replace my Shimano Citicas. I'll let you know how they perform.
  13. Hey RM and DVT, I replaced the pinion gear but still have the same issue. I looked on the schematic and don't see any pinion yoke springs. Am I missing something? I may have to send it to one of you guys
  14. What would cause it not to seat properly? Does it just need to be disassembled and put back together?
  15. I'll look at that. Thanks Barron. Just in case this isn't the issue, if anyone else has an idea please let me know. Thanks for the help
  16. Guys, DVT or RM, I've got an abu garcia 6500C3 that has a problem I haven't figured out yet. When I spin the reel handle and then stop it quickly, the spool continues to rotate for a couple of seconds and makes like a gear clicking noise. Any ideas what this might be? I thought maybe it was the pinion gear but I had an extra and switched it out but that didn't fix the issue. It almost seems like the sound is coming from the non handle side of the reel. Any help would be appreciated. Oh and the sound happens with the line out clicker off too. Thanks guys. Kevin
  17. Oh boy that is a tough one. I have the Lew's Speed Spool which I got new for $89.00 and it is alot better than I thought it would be. I had 3 of the 2nd generation Revo S and it was great but a little heavy. Now the 3rd generation Revo S has everything I have wanted in the Revo series. They made it slightly smaller, lighter and widened the spool. And then, that white color with the black highlights, oh man, they sold me big time. I've got 3 on order from my local tackle shop. Couldn't believe how Abu Garcia read my mind! Still can't go wrong with the Lew's either.
  18. Ummmm....no I haven't tried this. No disrespect to Mr. Clunn but I saw an outdoor show that had him and others on the ground crawling around trying to become one with nature........Now I'm no expert on Zen but it really seemed a little bit on the nutty side to me. And if you have seen some of RC's interviews in the last couple of years, there's something not right there. Just saying. I believe you can improve your fishing by understanding your surroundings but nothing beats more time on the water and paying attention to the normal details.
  19. Nope. Fished a tournament last Saturday evening and ended up with multiple mosquito bites but that was because I forgot my bug spray. My fault but so far I just itch. If I end up with the virus I will just fish next weekend with the virus. They will have to drag me off of the water to get me to stop fishing.
  20. Oh Yeah!....I've already given my tackle dealer an order for 3 Revo S Baitcasters and 2 of the Revo S spinning reels. I've got the Veritas spinning rods already and I'm going to buy 3 new Veritas Casting Rods.....I believe TW has a 15% discount on most items through Sept. 4th. That would make the Veritas rods around 85 bucks. Not bad. Now I'll be poor!
  21. How about Jacob Wheeler of Indianapolis! I've seen him out on Geist Reservoir here in Indiana multiple times and now he is the FLW champion. Only 21 years old. That is awesome.
