  1. That's very true. The other side of the coin is manufactures look to demographics. Lucky Craft knows they will not appeal to those who shirk at a ten plus dollar lure and produce a product with the intent of targeting a segment of anglers. That angler is also savvy enough to know what they want and why and are less impulsive. Strike King targets another demographic and hopes what price point won't attract, PR, commercialism and marketing will. I wish for once, a major event like the classic was won on a bait that has been out of production for 20 years. I agree--would be interesting to see it won on a out of production bait--probably won't be though--all the pro's have so many sponsers that we would never know about it if it did happen :
  2. I don't know about anyone else but it makes me feel REAL good to know they cancellled their fishing shows so we can watch soccer and poker tourneys

  6. Fishing below 32 degrees just sucks. It doesn't matter what line you are using. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Ronnie AGREE X2
  7. Thanks for the reply--I too was sure I read it but could not find it--it was the same though--going to be at a price point for average fisherman--Thanks--now if I could JUST remember where I saw that article
  8. Did any one else hear that Rick Clunn with Luck E Strike were getting ready to release a new crankbait line that would be priced more toward the average angler or was I dreaming?--I was sure I read that somewhere! :-/
  9. X2--Bas Pro dropped all or changed the names of reels and rods to take pro's names off products--surely a royalty money saving issue--W&M rods seem ok but I have handled(not fished) the Victory reel--felt cheap IMO only :-/
  10. I have 2 Browning Maxus baitcast reels-- I know they are not high end reels but I have had them for 2or3 yrs-they have been very smooth and so far reliable reels so far
  11. Actually my mom bought a new Toyota and has to get the oil changed at the dealer or the warranty is off. Just sayin'. ;D I believe I would have to see that in writing in the warrenty--have 2 friends who are Techs at 2 different Toyota dealers and they ---NOPE--not Toyota's policy-- I have a 2 year old Camry--do not have to change oil at dealer BUT I do keep receipts from oil changes as proof that I have maintained it according to the warrenty :-?
  12. congrats to you!!---am looking forward to it myself in about 2yrs
  13. Yea-- I know this is mean but I get tired of him having his guests get his fish because he is too big to get down and get them!!--Sorry :
  14. I have to agree--Roland is not very subtle with his product endorsments but at least he fishes public water and not some private stock pond all the time! :
  15. Does any one know why Rick Clunn is not on the Bass Pro's anymore or why BPS does not sell his reel or rods? I see they still carry his Lucky Craft crankbaits but the reels with his name on them have been changed to RCX on the web site and they do not offer either in the new master catalog--Bass Pro move on or did Rick want too much money? Thanks :-?
  16. If the New Lew's reels are half as good as the orginal Lew's they have a winner--still have 3 of the "old" reels that work as good and are as smooth as the day I bought them
