  1. I guess i have been lucky--I have 3 of the carbon steel rods that i have been using for 2+ yrs and so far i could not be happier with them--i would not hesitate to buy the new carbon steel rods Kistler is offering based on the performance of the 3 that i have
  2. I have a Powell Diesel 7ft and i think it is one heck of a rod for the money--I do not think that it has a soft tip--use mine for t-rig and it is perfect for that
  3. X2
  4. 40 lb power pro will work fine--all good advice above--you will need weights heavy enough to get out past surf line which will depend on tide level--don't forget north carolina now requires you have fishing license--good luck--the beer always tastes better setting on the beach at the banks fishing
  5. I also have a Tournament speed spool--actually I have 2 and I use them fairly regular--guess i am lucky too--have not had a bit of trouble out of either of them and am very happy with their performance
  6. you do know this is just wrong--right?
  7. Great looking jigs Mike--am sure you are going to be busy keeping up with orders
  8. Good stuff--beat me to it--LOL
  9. I have 2 of the older gold series Extremes and for what i paid for them and what i use a spinning reel for I am very happy with these reels---i really like the wide spool on them--really seems to cut down on line twist--very good product for what i need them for JMO
  10. Only jigs I throw come from Mike--high quality--great price--large skirt color selection and mike is great to work with--why look anywhere else?

same here--am amazed that I over time went away from certain lures that caught lots of fish and do not even give them a thought---why do we do that?--getting tubes and a couple of other old faithfuls back out and ready for spring
  12. Too bad---starting to sound like NASCAR--gave up on it because i do not watch soap operas and if this keeps up i will give up on BASS--if they are promoting this for rating IMO they are making a mistake--will not watch grown men acting like kids on a playground--disappointing--JMHO
  13. Yea sure would be nice
  14. do not know what you are fishing now but my guess is if you fish a tournie pro for 2 weeks you will not be selling it---great reel JMO

  16. Hate to sound like this since I have not held or seen one but if it made by wright&mcgill like sheet's reels I am pretty sure i will pass
  17. Have seen both of those clips on the news when they first surfaced--having said that I have had nothing but great results with both FedEx and ups---usps has scared me pretty good a couple times--bought a rod and seller shipped it usps---when i came home it was on the porch and it was crunched in the middle so bad it just flopped when I picked it up---was positive that I now had a 2 piece rod--could not believe when i cut the rest of the tube off and rod was ok --To the credit of the post man I was home next day and he rang doorbell to check on status of rod---he could not believe it was ok himself--he was ready to start a claim for me
