So it looks like there is a new angler Jason Abram the commentators kept talking about. Maybe he got pulled in because Martens is sick? I don't recall seeing his name before, the commentators kept saying something like this is his first BPT event. Do they really pull in new anglers mid way through the season? He didn't make the cut today, so he said he would have to re-qualify? Is there a list of guys on the 'waiting' list to get into the MLF BPT? How does this all work? Maybe there is a link on the MLF website that describes it all so you can save your breath.

Very true, healthy population! Can't blame the anglers, they are working within their given work parameters! If someone doesn't like flogging, they need to have MLF ban it just like they banned A-Rigs. (I think A-rigs are banned from I recall...)

Pros bed fish largemouth all the time in 2ft of water during tourneys, this is only different because its 12ft of water. I guess everyone is excited because for this kind of bed fishing they are using a tool.

Wheeler up to 108lbs... OMG... is he using the spirit shad from Gajo? At least the spawners are being thrown right back in compared to how some other tourneys put em in the livewell....

haha people get sick of watching the pros fish with livescope, this is even more funny watching them flog with one and and set the hook with the other! I won't deny it's a way to catch fish, but would love to see the pros work a little harder and show off their 'skills' Just my .02 cents.

Well...they are crushing the smallies!! Mostly finesse stuff is taking the top scores... I got one pro saying they will not flog ( I think it was Ehler) and then I got many other pros flogging and doing well... I guess it's legal, but maybe everyone ought to do it if they want to try to compete....

I'm hearing so much about this big amazon prime day, but not really seeing many fishing deals. I've lost a lot of faith in amazon, they carry too much knock off cheap no-name brand products these days...

True!! I think you got a lot of retired guys, you got some guys who either work nights, or work weekends so they get days off in the middle of the week. On a different note, it's amazing how those flurries of action can make or break a tourney. KVD caught a large majority of his fish in like a 20-30 min window, then not another fish for over a hour. This is where some of the 'luck' comes into play, as you gotta find the right school, right time, and fire em up... For the guys that didn't find that, they suffered. It's just the name of the game I guess! Anyone else been out on Chick and able to relate to what the pros were doing?

Lambert is rising, but he's snagged two big ones in the side. Not even the side of the mouth, but the side of the body. Reading the rules, I guess those count because he wasn't 'visually' fishing for them. I'm not sure how I feel about this...

Yes KVD cranking a ledge. Said it's not good to graph over fish in 10-12 ft, they will scatter from the boat noise.

FYI , I am REALLY digging the new feature they have where you can see all the catch data, including lure, depth, area, etc. Of course it doesn't give the exact bait name, but rather the bait type. Still pretty cool!!

Seems some guys are getting on em at Lake Chickamauga. Shin was using an interesting swimbait, kind of looks like a fluke, but a little better. See attached picture. Anyone know what it is? He said this technique sometimes takes 5 minutes per cast, using it for suspended bass. See the bait on the deck.
