  1. I don't think that, but cars in the 70s got in the high 30s mpg, we just haven't moved the needle all that much.
  2. I'm giving you a +1 for that, nicely done.
  3. Cars got better gas mileage in 1980 than they do now, we are in big trouble if our technology is going backwards.
  4. I don't, but sometimes it sounds good.
  5. Ok, maybe not patents, how about ideas that are bought up before they get patented. Obviously we as common folk have no "proof", but common sense tells me if I made 250 billion yearly on the sale of something, and someone invented something to circumvent the use of my product, I would buy it for a couple of million to keep my product viable. We have sent a man to the moon, 40 years ago, and with all of the other technological marvels we as humans produce, we can't run a car on anything but fossil fuels? Not logical thinking.
  6. I think that absolutely patents have been bought and destroyed, and thanks for the heads up on the documentary Snook, gonna have to get me that dvd.
  7. All of the questions you pose could be answered yes, but we are conditioned to comfort. Except for the last 100 years, humans have gotten by without gas and autos by learning to grow their own food, and saving the extra for the colder months, instead of buying strawberries in February imported from Chile. Now a days, many of the local farms will have a convenient drop off spot for many families to pick up their food, and if we didn't rely on getting our food from far away, we would be able to sustain more farms nearer our homes, but instead we need our convenience, at the expense of our health, and of course the enormous thirst for fuel.
  8. Gas is not a necessity, my family has eliminated most of our fuel usage. We buy our food from local farms, as well as a garden we have. We started a business a mile away from our house, to cut out travel. A lot of what we use fuel for could be sourced from closer to home, it's just we are conditioned to think otherwise.
  9. I didn't see a jig on the site, are you talking about the metal "sonar flash" looking thing? It weighs over an ounce, so out of my weight range.
  10. I'm gonna think twice next time the artificial limb monkey jumps on my back!
  11. I think she's gonna have twins!
  12. Roseanne Barr doesn't appreciate you posting pics of her ankle on this site.
  13. Something tells me they only told you that they couldn't get a pan big enough.
  14. That was quick..
  15. It does come down to one word, LAZY. I agree we need to focus on our citizens first and foremost.
  16. I don't think the size of their paycheck has any relevance to their hygiene and littering habits. It's more their upbringing and respect for themselves and others, rich or poor.
  17. Got a treble hook in the back of my right hand, under the tendon to my middle finger, with a bass on the other treble. Tried to cut the skin open to get it out, tried pulling it, finally had to go to the ER,looked funny with a heddon torpedo dangling off the back of my hand.
  18. I think your supposed to keep your pet fish IN the water.

  21. Dude, you know 5 crack addicted prostitutes?
  22. My wife and I have watched it from the first episode, and last night was the best episode yet, and one of the best 2 hours of TV we have ever watched. I do think the show will be back, I think they will either say that was not the real red john, or his minions will continue their nefariousness. It was the first time Jane had ever handled a gun as well, and they still have to work out the possible murder charge on him as well.
  23. http://www.monsterpig.com/negative_comments.htm this link brings you to the negative comment section of the website THE DAD put up regarding the "monsterpig". Go about halfway down to the email with all of the f bombs blacked out and read starting there. That email and the next couple made me laugh out loud, so much so that after my wife asked what I was laughing at, and I read her the emails, she said I was sick. Me, not the emailer or the pig hunter.
  24. Imagine the genius on the other end of the line, for 17 hours.
