  1. I don't care what or who's scale you use that is an outstanding achievement and an awesome result for all, great job Catt!!
  2. It's going to be harder to sell without the trailer but I would figure up what you have in it and add your labor time and ask an extra 500.00$ then settle for what you think is a fair price.
  3. Yes, sure was nice having you take the 5 1/2 trip with me to pick it up, I'd probably still be missing! And to think how we stumbled upon that boat........I brought you inside to show you the absolute lemon I was going to go rush and buy and happened to look at the Portland area and for a few hundred bucks and miles more.............love at first sight! Even when I upgrade I'd like to keep that boat, maybe pass it on to my boys. You got some pics? Sure does sound like an interesting boat with a good story!
  4. I wish this economy was not so hard to deal with cause man I hate to hear that you had to sell your boat and I hope and pray the future holds bigger and better things for you and yours.
  5. Way2slow Sorry to hear of your fathers passing and it sounds like a boat worth keeping I think you should listen to your family. I am currently looking at a Ranger 20' that is older than my 90 but it has been garage kept all of it's life and has enough seating to be able to take my whole family with room to spare and enough power to get where I want to go...I have driven this boat other times and have recorded speeds over 70 mph and that is as fast as I ever need to go and I still had another 1/3 throttle before reaching WOT. I am hoping he will sell it but he has not made up his mind yet. The boat you have sounds like its worth a trip to Ga. My best friend has a jav and I like his a lot.
  6. I am sorry for not giving you the whole story but as I was putting my thoughts down I was remembering how mad I was and I failed to mention that after he passed me he turned right across my bow.
  7. How in the world do you cast 35 feet in the air and not scare the fish with the landing of your bait ;D I have heard of people getting injured by power lines but I dont think it was because of their fishing lines.
  8. Looks like you may have a head gasket issue. Have you pulled the plugs and tested compression or checked the cyls. for water intrusion?
  9. Duh!! I should have read it a little closer I think he is asking about the TM. :-[ If it is the trolling prop then a few nicks can be smoothed out with sandpaper (Sorry) But yes a damaged TM prop does make more noise than a new one and should be addressed
  10. Just like a dog with 3 legs it learns how to do everything with what they were given. That fish will survive by instinct and grow much larger if his food source is good enough.
  11. Are there any fractures? or is that the whole extent of the damage? You definitely do not want to wait to have a blade come off that's bad!!! If you are in the slightest bit doubtful of this prop being safe to run replace it. If it truly is just pitted you can have it serviced by a prop shop which is probably what you should do anyway to be on the safe side.
  12. Thanks Nate, I really am not generally to upset when boats and jet ski's get wacky on the water, Shoot I am just as dumb for being out there trying to fish, Until they get too close and do the stupid things they do but what really gets my blood boiling is when these idiots put their children in harms way. There is no room for error when it comes to this type of stupidity, I had a guy pass me on my port side at a lake over the fathers day weekend with 2 children in tow and he didn't even give me enough room to even pull the throttle back, I was doing over 30mph!!! What the crap was he thinking?
  13. And yes I do understand the wife thing she said if I could find one for 500 that I could buy it. We are now looking for a bigger bass boat because SHE can't get enough of it!!! Good luck!!! I posted this as one option if you choose to go this route instead of waiting for a new one.
  14. To date I have only spent 1632.73$
  15. If you wait untill the dead of winter you can find some really good deals on bass boats. I paid 500.00$ for my 170TF with a 115 rude, It ran but not smooth but no abnormal noise and needed a good bit of TLC.
  16. If you were to use that scale of 500 hours per 5+ lbs that would mean you would have had to fish 33000 hrs. That's a lot of fishing!!! I am curious though I know you like to fish at night...With a estimated guess or you may know exactly... Did you catch most of them at night or is the ratio about the same between daylight hours? By the way great job and thanks for sharing that with us!!!
  17. Personally, I'd would have asked if she heard the words coming out of her mouth? Go park your chair somewhere, I was here first. (Then I hoped I land a big fish and let it flop all over her!) I could have gave her a nice swimbait slap across the face. Have a little salad while you sit on your lazy butt! People that 'hang out' at the river around here tend to be scum (not all of them) and I just can't even stand to fish it anymore, unless I'm in a boat. I think we should have to get one of those boatsmart cards I always see on TV. Maybe that would cut back on dumbies (doubtful though)... Nate, I do not get the chance to watch TV much at all... What is a boatsmart card?
  18. I agree with needing more authority on the water!!! In my neck of the waters here though there are only a hand full of dedicated people for the whole state and the state will not do anything about it because of the cut backs in funding and I think a lot of people know this and push the limits. There seems to be plenty of good men and women on the shores but very few that can actually patrol the waters.
  19. WOW! seriously he was shot at? try Google Gary Klein 2003 Classic takes shot across the bow. Wes Miller ESPN cameraman. The Jay Yelas incident was tapped and on TV a few times because he caught one of his largest tourny bass nearly in the boats wake. Thanks !!!!!
  20. WOW 60 bucks a gallon!! I hope you get a lot of hours per gallon!!!
  21. I don't know if you have an "ollies" in your area but I picked up a 20x10 needle punch carpet patch for 50 bucks and if you have any construction sites around you may be able to pick up some scrap pressure treated plywood or some regular plywood for a little bit of nothing or even free if you ask the right person and do what TopDog suggested and seal it yourself. Good luck with your project and send us some pics!!!
  22. yyyyeeeeeeee Haaawwww!!!!! Welcome!!!!
  23. What should be the penalty? Shock Therapy everyday for a month? A thousand paper cuts and have them take a bath in alcohol? Or have their boat taken away from them until they learn to play nice. > Honestly there are not enough jail cells to go around for these kind of people although I happen to like the idea.
