  1. WOW! seriously he was shot at?
  2. X 10 although the legal authority may be hard to find due to cut backs in your state as they have mine I take a camera along with me video or SLR works but video is recommended. You would be surprised at how far they will go when they realise they are being taped!!!
  3. How do you fish too much? ;D I am making a lot of long runs this year and looking at my local lake to help my self understand a lot of different structures and drop-offs and such. I knew this year was going to be different and cost a lot more money for me because this is the way I learn but like I stated before this is really exciting for me because what I have learned on here has directly impacted my fishing at home for the better. Yea, I could read a book or something that someone else has published about the lake and I have but it's nothing like going out and finding paths of fish that weren't in these books and establishing patterns. To me being self taught will stick with me for a long time and give me mental notes...Books can not do that.
  4. First of all thanks for taking the time to answer the questions and no your not a schmuck!! ;D I would have to agree with you on the fact that there is so much talent here that it would be hard to pick who you would want to fish with... Roadwarrior,WayneP,Catt,Sam,Yourself,FBL, Just to name a few that I would love to have the chance at meeting and fishing with and learning from and not to mention the girls that we could learn a lot from here too!!! I apologize for not correctly phrasing my question that I had addressed to you, I am still learning and I think I am getting more people confused rather than presenting a clear opinion or question on this site and I need to correct that, But you nailed the question so thanks!!!
  5. I hear ya there buddy I was just checking my tally in gas and oil so far to date since january I have spent 257.27 bucks in oil mix alone!!!! But it's all about the fishing, I have been working pretty hard this year to find where the bass are traveling and establishing a lot of patterens over at our local lake and at least the rewards are a lot better than last year. I have learned so much from this site and there is still so much more to learn....Man I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!! Hope to meet you over there some day. PS...You really should clean your boat!!! ;D
  6. And just where was that lake you are speaking of that you caught that wonderful bass at ? It wouldn't be close to your home would it...Say maybe less than an hour? Nice fish!!! By the way.
  7. OOHHHH!!! Well aren't you just special!!! LOL. ;D By the way how do you like it?

Nice to have someone from my old stomping grounds welcome aboard!!
  14. There to me is no better time on the water fishing than in the rain. If I am not mistaken the rain hitting the water not only cools the temp a bit but it helps to create oxygen and will make for some exciting fishing opportunities!
  15. Start working parallel to the bank along the tree line with all of the above mentioned lures, Personally I like to use jigs with a craw trailer for this or a large trick worm in watermelon/red and take your time working them. Often times you miss out on the bigger fish by not doing this.
  16. Glenn, I can't help but wonder how it feels to be that close to all of our fishing pros men and women alike who most of us only dream of meeting someday. Do you get a feeling of WOW I just met KVD or WOW I just met Lisa Sternard, Not leave out any names but there are so many whom we all admire...Is there any single interview that sticks in your mind as one of the best? And if I may ask if you had the chance to fish with anybody who would your choice be?
  17. I must have looked over it I don't remember seeing it at my Wal-Mart. Thanks for the reply!!
  18. Gallon # 10 started in febuary lost a few weeks in the big snow and gone every weekend almost since the melt plus a week straight. Come to think of it I think I have used more gas in the boat than I have in my vehicle towing it over to the lake.
  19. I have never purchased Startron how much is it compared to the others? And where do you find it? At your local boat shop?
  20. Looking pretty good can't wait for more pics!!!
  21. Iv'e seen it happen but it has never happened to me and I hope someday it may because it looks like a lot of fun!!!
  22. I honestly do not know Wayne. But I have stored my boat for over one year while restoring it and the fuel that was in it the entire time with the stabill added to it worked just fine. She fired right up and never looked back and that's the reason I always store it like that. That is not to say that seafoam is a lesser product but I just have not used it for storage.
  23. Awesome !!!!! Thanks for the pics!!! On my favorite lake I usually pull out 2 to 3 five pounders on an 8 hour day which is not as successful as I would like to be but most are 3 to 4 pounds and Still makes for a fun day!!! But my opinion is that each one you catch at 5 plus pounds is now and always will be a thrill and you should always expect to catch one. If you don't at the very least expect it you won't be prepared for it when it does happen.
