My New Whip
Yep, my dad used to have a Harley so I know how expensive the insurance was.

When It Comes To Beavers..
I usually just flip and pitch them as well, but today I got a few hits weightless through grass, sorta fluke like. And I guess i'll just stick to my RI's and Rodents. They look good, and man, those SK's smell good too (;

My New Whip
I actually sold the one in this thread. Money towards a 50 cc, top speed of about 45, legally 35.

My New Whip
Believe me, i'd much rather have a car. But my parents wont do that for me, they're strict by the rules type of people. Plus, insurance, I would be broke.

Type Rod For .....
I guess we're just going to have to agree to disagree. No matter how fast the reel, you can always slow down. If they're going too fast, they fish will let them know, and they can adjust. Using a slower reel you cannot just go faster than you already can. And IMO, the faster the tip, the better for fishing these single hook, generally heavy wire hook techniques. When said bass bites, I want to get into the hookset as fast and hard as possible because the hooks are heavy wire. I agree, doing all of these on one combo isn't easy, but I truly believe the OP would be better off with a MH/XF and a 7.X:1 gear ratio reel.

Academy H2O Braid
I've never used it, but it sounds decent. I could care less about half dyneema, half spectra. Different brand names for the same thing. But with 6 strands, its basically Sufix Performance Braid, not 832. So all in all, should be good as I loved Performance before 832.

My New Whip
Well, that's brand new. I'm think a used one from the dealer. And no, im 17. I would rather buy a car, but the cost to put me as the primary driver for that car, plus gas, etc, I dont make enough money for that. And as for mopeds, there is no need for insurance. So I would not have another monthly bill. And not to mention 140 MPG for a 50cc

Snaped Mojobass
When you get a snag, to try and free it, give it some slack so see if it just comes unsnagged. If that does not work, tighten your line, hold the rod vertical and pull your line away from the snag. You may lose your lure, bend your hook, or snap your line, but you will not snap your rod.

Type Rod For .....
7' MH/XF rod with a 7.1:1 reel I like Powell rods (703C) and Daiwa Reels.

Snaped Mojobass
Well, to start off, you shouldn't be trying to free any lures by popping your rod. The reason you can not break any ugly stick is its fiberglass, not graphite. Trying to unsnag a lure with a graphite rod will probably always end this way. Also, you may have inadvertantly damaged your rod, leading to the failure. Any nicks or dings in your rod will cause for catastrophic failure.

Buying Reels Off Ebay
Yep, 50e's go for about 150 now, they're in demand (: Anyways, Paypal is safest. I dont know what smart connect is, I just use regular Paypal. It doesn't always show up instantly though, sometimes it takes a day or two before I see it in my bank.

Best Beginner Baitcaster Braid?
i wouldn't get those. They are cheap lines and I think you will be dissapointed. I like Sufix 832, and has been my go to for a while now. For your needs I would get 40 lb. Seaguar Kanzen has also impressed me, but not enough to make me switch from 832.

My New Whip
On a side note, we went to a dealer today to look, cheapest was 2200 otd with all the fee's, etc. Me and my parents are still deciding if they want to finance it and I can pay them, or to go used again for a china through craigslist. I'm thinking dealer, just because name brand ones parts are always available and they can be serviced there.

My New Whip
haha, i've sat on some friends crf50's and being 6', it really uncomfortable, lol.

Bps Extreme Baitcast Reel
The newer low profile extremes have Dual Braking, but the cent. brakes ARE NOT adjustable. They will have 4 on for ever, and ever, and ever.

Reel Talk (Pun Intended)
They retail new for quite a bit, but the Zillion is the BEES KNEES. They are absolute tanks, and cast wonderfully. Plus, they are some VERY ergonomic reels. You can find them on FleaBay for around ~$200

The Reel Choice
I would look for a gently used Daiwa Fuego or SOL, my choice being the latter, in that price range. eBay usually has some good deals pop up.

Thinking About Purchasing A New Mh/h Baitcaster
It's true to rating, or really close to me.

Whats a Wildfire brand?

Ordered My First Lew's Tp Tonight!
Not specific to Lew's, but whenever I get a new reel, the first thing I do it strip it down, degrease it, and then re-lube it with Ardent Reel Butter, Oil, and flush the bearings and replace with Ardent Bearing oil. You will notice better performance, and a more "free" reel, IMO. its not a sluggish grease packed reel, IMO.

Which Line?
If its your first baitcaster, don't bother with anything but mono. Buy an extremely cheap bulk spool of 10# mono and learn to fish with it first. Then go out and bug some Seagaur Invizx

Thinking About Purchasing A New Mh/h Baitcaster
I have a 6'8" mh and its pretty true to rating, MH. I would get the MH for what you listed above. The Heavy is nice for really big baits, and heavy cover, buts its just not as versatile.

Flurocarbon Snapping And Knots?
Why is everyone suggesting a double uni? The only reason to double is so braid doesn't slip. A regular UNi will be fine.

Cheaper Rod But Same Taper As Ducket Dobyns
Excuse my negligence then, I thought the Saavy and Duckett were in the 160-175 area, or atleast I thought they used to be.

Cheaper Rod But Same Taper As Ducket Dobyns
Get a Powell Max 703C. These things got a great tip and a mean backbone. Also, the camera may be playing some tricks. The lense will distort to a bit, and make the rods look like they're bending less/more depending on angle.
