Lew's Lh 7 Ratio Reel.... Finally
GET A POWELL MAX! Seriously, they're my favorite rods I own. Or if you want more of a JDM appeal and supposedly a crazy sensitive rod look to try a Phenix Recon

What's The Worst Thing That's Ever Happened To You While Fishing?
I fell/slid off the rocks at Aquia landing. The water was low so the rocks were wet and covered in that slimy sh**. I stepped down to lip my bass and phew! I slid in on my back. I had numerous scratches and cuts (Which is pretty dangerous,... Its the Potomac) but I did have the presence of mind to hold my combo way up in the air. Not a scratch 8) Man's gotta have his priorities lol

Hockey Tape?...
Basically I like the feel and grip hockey tape provides, but will it damage my cork grips if I put it on there? I'd assume it wouldn't hurt, and would protect the cork from staining. I just want to make sure the adhesive wont damage anything before I wrap them up.

Your Favorite Rod You Own?
Off topic, is that a bass in your tank?

Medium/fast And Medium-Heavy/fast Rods
Hoe arr you fishing the lure? And in what type of cover, if any? These are al important questions when deciding on a rod for any technique.

Bass Pro Rods
I loved my jm Sig series 2 before I sold it. I had the 6'10" MH XF casting rod and it was the perfect multipurpose rod. I only sold it because I had to pay for lacrosse. I would buy another if I could.

Been Seeing Cumaras On Sale Lately...
Yup. Man I hate foam. I really liked the last Crucial series. They were very clean looking rods with a hint of flavor. If they made a new Cumara with a split or full cork grip, and a Fuji reels seat, count me in for a pre-order.

Been Seeing Cumaras On Sale Lately...
Anyone know why that is? Have the newer Crucials stolen the Cumaras market? Or is there a new reborn Cumara to come soon? I sure hope it would be cork gripped... So does anyone know? I sure would like to see the New Cumaras with a new grip and reels seat.

Tips For A 100 Acre Lake
Tiny little pond on QMCB, little pull off right on 610 at the r-6 sign. Walk around the fence then walk down a gravel road for a mile. Then you catch bass non-stop. Average is a two-three pounder. The only stiffle is, you have to call range control to see if they're open, and they're usually not.

Tips For A 100 Acre Lake
Havent been there in a while, but jigs are always a good bet there. Flipping a lizard on the timber will get em too. However I havent been there in a while, late february, so i have no idea if they're in post-spawn or what. Regardless the bite has been tough for me this last week even at Aquia. BTW, have you been to R-6 yet ?

What To Buy.need Advice.400$ Budget.
IMO I would go with a good casting setup. Go with the rod of your choice, then pair it up with a nice reel and some good line. I'll recommend a SHIMANO Chronarch 200e7 with some Seaguar Invizx

Thoughts On Power
I like to think I use a healthy combonation. I pick my rod based on technique, instead of cover, however I dont live in Florida with the thickest of thick. The only time I go below a M for anything is on spinning, and in open water. However, I pick the best rod for how I fish the technique when It comes to all my casting gear. Like my fluke rod is a 6'8" M/XF. I like it because It throws them a mile and the way it fishes a fluke is killer. However, IMO anything M and above has enough power to horse them out of cover, and im using 10# line in some nasty stuff. It's more about your technique on fighting the fish IMO. However if your in absolutely nasty stuff like punching, then i think it makes more sense to use a broom stick, because you have to get em out immediately. Hope that made kinda sense

Abu Garcia Orra Or Bps Pro Qualifier?
get the PQ. No questions asked.

New Curado Vs. Old Curado
They cast the same. However the difference now it just the quality, and the refinement of the reels, on which the Curado E takes both.
-
Casting Rod For Weightless Worms
Go ahead and buy a Powell 7' M/XF rod. Pair it up with a Curado 50e and some 8# Line, and your set.

Adjustable Tackle Boxes, Stowaways, Compartment Trays Blah Blah

'wacky' Ways To Rig A Carolina Rig.
Might be good in generally open water. Seems it might be snag fest every where else. Your basically dragging a wacky rig. Its not like the wacky rig goes up and down

Is 91% Alcohol Too High To Be Able To Clean The Gunk Out Of My Reel?
I recommend going to your nearest Gander Mountain or BPS and picking up an Ardent Reel Cleaning kit. It has everything you'll need, and they wont screw anything up. I personally use Ardents reel service products and have been nothing but happy with it. I recently cracked open a reel that I had cleaned and lubed, after a year of using it (no cleanings), and it looked great. Just a minor bit of dirt near the pinion gear where the spool shaft rides

Is 91% Alcohol Too High To Be Able To Clean The Gunk Out Of My Reel?
I wouldn't use alchohol at all then

Is 91% Alcohol Too High To Be Able To Clean The Gunk Out Of My Reel?
I just use some Ardent Reel Degreaser when I clean my parts. After they've been thoroughly cleaned I apply grease to the gear, drag grease to the drag, and oil to the bearings. and spool shaft, and a few other places I think may need it. However because you specified alchohol I assume you are talking about your bearings. I dont think its too high, but i'm not DVT, so I'll leave that to him

What Do You Use Your Avid For?
I haven't really gave it a fair shot with alot of techniques. I think tomorrow I'll give it a go with larger texas rigs. This morning I threw some red eye shads on it and I thought it handled them well, but just seemed odd. I think it might just be too tip heavy.
