What Bad Trait Or Habit Did You Pick Up From Your Parents?
Swearing like a sailor. My dad said all those words around me when I was little, and I just grew up with it.

Braid Vs. Fluorocarbon (Not Your Usual Vs.)
People who fish with weightless plastics, and many other techniques where the line is almost always semi-slack. Your not going to keep a weightless worm on a tight line.

What Would You Do
I'm 16, a junior in highschool, I get out at 2:15 and have lacrosse from 4-6 on weekdays, So I cant work then until lacrosse ends, hence i'm working weekdays now. Yes, I live at home. That doesn't mean all my money is a disposable income. I pay for my share of the phone bill, car insurance, and gas, and lacrosse league fees. So money is really important to me so I have more of a spendable income. However, lacrosse being lacrosse, there is no real future in it. I do it for fun and exercise, but i'm not going to a college to play D1. At best D3 or club ball in college. I'm not great at it but I dont suck, i'm only a little above average. So lacrosse really isn't a priorty after high school, I just want to continue playing through senior year.

Left handed vs right handed Baitcasters
The whole saving time thing is wish-wash if your casting (Not pitching) and you palm your baitcasters. It takes the same amount of time to switch hands that it does to go from the casting grip to the comfortable palming grip. the only advantage would be pitching. Go with what feels right in your hands. Make sure to go to the store, put it on a rod and play with it. I like my spinning reels left and my casting reels right, witht he exception of flipping/pitching.

What Would You Do
So here is the Situation: Lets start off with some background. I have been employed by Dominos Pizza since the first of October, and I get paid 7.25 an hour. Now that lacrosse has started, I only work weekends, from about 5 hours each day at the most. I got offered a job at IKEA, (where my whole family works) for 8 dollars an hour washing dishes. Working weekends 6 hours a day. Seems like a no-brainer right? Go work at Ikea, more money more hours. Well it's not so simple. Where it turns into a game of strategy is looking to the future after lacrosse. Once lacrosse ends, I can work every day at dominos averaging 4-5 hours a day 5 days a week. So lets say 25 hours a week, which equals 181.25 before taxes a week. HOWEVER, at Dominos I can work up to 40 hours a week, being part time. Thats a big plus. Yet, If I went to work for Ikea, I would get 8 an hour, be guaranteed 12 hours, BUT, I can only work up to 18 hours a week. So my MAX pay per week would be 144. More likely 16 hours for 128. But then, I would only work 2 or 3 days a week, leaving more time for fishing, girlfriend, and just general chilling out. But then again, I have an opportunity to grow in IKEA, where as in Dominos It would take me forever to be a manager, let alone assistant, and be expected to work 60+ hours a week for only 9$ an hour. But then again right now, I could hypothetically earn $290 a week at dominos working 40 hours (Summertime). I have to make a decision by Friday, because that's when I have my interview at IKEA, which is basically my job because my whole family works there. But wait, it gets more interesting. If I talk to my boss at Dominos, maybe I could take leave until may 7th, (When lacrosse ends) and work IKEA until then, and then work at both IKEA and Dominos, (Being summer, no problem with two jobs) and make alot of money, but have almost no free time to myself, other than the mornings (Until 5) 5 days a week. But I think its highly unlikely my boss will just let me take off Dominos for 2 months, especially considering I only work weekends anyways. Or finally, I could just keep working dominos until may 7th, then try to get a second Job at ikea again, but there is no telling the future whether or not they will be hiring then. SO MANY OPTIONS!!!! What would you do?

Gear Ratio Choice.....i Need Your $.02
I would skip the enigma all together, and many more will agree. I'd say pick up a PQ in 6.4

Line Reco For Jig/worm Rod
With Jigs, (Tight line, all the time) I want braid. With everyother bottom contact technique where the line is almost always semi-slack, give me fluoro carbon.

$79 Citicas @ Gander Mtn.

Is Medium Light (Ml) Too Light To Throw Spinnerbaits And Senkos?
I would just return it for the MH. in my opinion. Just because you accidently bought it doesn't mean you have to make it work.

Your Fishing Partner Bothers You When......
That bring up a good phrase I tell my dad everytime he pussifoots around cover. "If you aint snaggin' , you ain't baggin"

Your Fishing Partner Bothers You When......
People who are obliviously to other peoples choice in what they spend their extra cash on (Rods, reels, etc). People who do not respect others' equipment. People who constantly move around.

Costa 580 Glass Lens
Ah, BINGO. All glass lenses fog. Oakleys are not glass lenses, so they dont fog easily. However the costas are, and thats a nature of the beast. If one just fogs up in a certain spot, its the shape of your face and the glasses that cause that, because faces are not perfectly symetrical. I'd suggest buying an anti-fog coating to apply to the lenses.

Sponsors
Im seeing how our list on sponsors on the right side of the page is growing rapidly, and first i'd like to say, congrats glenn! This site has boomed, and it looks like companies are taking notice! There are definately some big names up there, including Rage Tail, Mustad, Mustad, Seaguar, and some smaller companies as well. It feels great to be a part of this site, and have grown with it to it's state today. Heep up the good work ! PS, can I buy stock in Bass Resource?

Pretty Sweet Deals Made Me Sway
Well not exactly, the Pro Qual doesn't have a fixed 4 pin centrifugal braking system. You can turn them all the way off if you choose. You cant do that with the Extreme. And I'd expect the extreme to be on par with the prolite, no more, no less. The ProLite seemed to be the test run for the extreme but with a higher bearing count. But you are right, for what you paid it is a good deal

Pretty Sweet Deals Made Me Sway
Holy Hallibut !!! #20 Yo-Zuri! I love the stuff, but you dont need 20#. The 12# breaks at something like 22 pounds. But anyways, if you like to use low brakes (2 cent. on, 4 off.) Your going to hate the new extreme. It has 4 brakes on all the time (hence hardly any backlashes, very user friendly), and you can't turn them off. And the mags are just regular mags, not like Daiwa where the cup goes in and out. Don't want to poop on your parade, but I dont think those new reel (of that style) are that great.

Line On A Baitcaster
for flipping and pitching i'll recommend Seaguar AbrazX in 20#

Which Costas?
I really like the gray base lens for everyday activities, but the green lenses are just hard to beat for bass fishing. I recently just got rid of my Costa Permits because the nose bridge was too wide, and my glasses would slide off my face. So I sold those, and now am going to get a pair of Fantails for my smaller face. I'm debating getting the blue though, because I wear my sunglasses everywhere. However, the green mirror glass lenses are the best in the industry right now.

50E
I use 6# fluoro, or 4# Yo-Zuri on mine, and it will launch a weightless worm a mile. (Of Course, paired with the right rod). I currently have mine paired up with a Powell Max 6'8" M/XF and this is my crown jewel for finessing em' out, and it's got a lot of use this winter. I highly recommend both, especially paired together. It's a match made in heaven, even the colors match. The green trim on the Powell compliments the 50 very nicely and vice versa.

Do You Weigh More Than You Should?
Yes, I do weigh more than I should, but nothing unhealthy. I'm 5'11", 215, and have a big build to start with, coupled with a small stomach and my butt ( you may call it, a "Donk") However, From Now until June I steadily lose weight, and by the end of that time I will be around 205. Keeping in mind, I have conditioning and practice for lacrosse 5 days a week for 3 hours. Then until that time again I slowly gain weight. This season i'm really trying to get rid of some of this flubber, instead of getting stronger like I have for the last two years. More cardio, (Which I must say I hate, my mile time is terrible at about 9 minutes.) is on the way for me. That also means I have to diet, which is hard being a kid, because Taco Bell is my noms, and Chipotle is my more expensive noms. But hopefully at the end of this season I can get down to about 200. I figure that is my ideal weight. What I look like right now for perspective is, you can see my 6 pack, its just got some fat on it so its not very defined. However, it's clearly there.

Anyone Using Braid For Everything?
No, but I do like it for many techniques. Braid has almost ZERO sensitivity on a slack line, which happens when fishing plastics, as well as other techniques. Fluorocarbon lines are going to be the most sensitive there. I like Yo-Zuri Hybrid for reaction type techniques, because it has some strecth, and properties of mono which I like, yet it is more sensitive than mono. I like braid for jigs, frogs, flipping, pitching, and certain applications in which I will be fishing in heavy cover, or ripping baits from vegitation. Its all about using the right tool for your jobs, and only you can decide whats right for you.

Why Do They Sell For So Much?
5-30$ astronomical? Its probably just people collecting them.

Powell Diesel Rods, Anyone Taking A Chance?
I wont be buying one for the shear fact that I dont like EVA grips too much, and I dont like the components of the rod. Warranty, shmoranty, it'll cost the same to get a replacement. I wish they would've just taken a Powell Max, change the green to red, call it a Diesel, and be $100 without a warranty, instead of what looks(visually, I have not used one) to be subpar rod, with no warranty. Just IMHO.

Sufix Castable Fluorocarbon
I like their original flouro line, and apparently its the same stuff just extruded differently. Sounds like a good line to me, but I haven't tried any yet. Prices are pretty competitive if it turns out to be as good as Seaguar.
