Jig/worm Rod Suggestion
Whats your price range?

Shimano Med/fast Action Med Power
Crank baits. A good multi-purpose rod for treble hooked baits. Not so good IMO for single hook lures.

Any Light Weight Baitcast Reels Under $100?
That reel is nice for light baits only. The only reason it weighs more than the CL is the aluminum handle. i put my CL handle on there and boy it's light. Although, for anything more than 1/4 ounce total weight, DONT get it. It has 4 centrifugal brakes on all the time, you cant turn em off. I never have to touch the mags so I dont know how well they work, but something seems off about them. Like they tried to make it look like they copied Daiwa. Seems "fishy". And yesterday it just stopped engaging the spool while I was fishing. I'll be taking it in for a replacement tommorrow. I dont want it to sound like i'm bashing the reel. But it's been about a month and it broke down. Maybe I got a lemon. However for anything 1/4 ounce and under its fantastic. Spool tension is bit loose it seams all the time, so if you accidently touch it, you have to adjust it back. Drag stength is fantastic, a little sticky in the uppe range of it, but nothing to complain about. Very smooth in the lover ranges. IIRC its a 5 or 7 disck system when I looked when I opened it up. Bearings are decent. They're pretty smooth, but nothing special. Its also got 2 bearing in each knob I believe. So its really only a 6 bearing system. Worm gear is also bushing supported I think if it matters. I can't comment on gear material because I dont know what it is, and or if it's the cause of my issue. Spool seems to be light weight. Also, it's not a very quiet reel. You can hear the gears turning very faintly, you can barely hear it, but it's their. And I dont mean put your ear up too it, I mean in fishing position. However, palmability is excellent! Its got a very low profile, and it weighs so little its very nice. I pitch texas rigs and tubes with it quite a ways all day. The spool is a little wider than a revo's which I like, and from what I can tell the spool is pretty light. The knobs that come on the reel are nice too. Its basically a standard knob but with Reel Grips. Bearing supported also so they're smooth and silky. It holds about 110 yds of 12# flouro too if it matters. Overall it's a fantasic little reel and for the $60 I paid for it, I wouldnt hesitate to get another. Durability seems to be an issue though. If you want to cast heavier lures, get a Carbonlite. If you want to be able to cast and pich tubes a mile, get the Prolite. Now that their on sale, will I be able to get a replacement and $20? or will I just get a replacement reel? anyone know?

Any Light Weight Baitcast Reels Under $100?
Its 120, but frequently is 100 on the frequent sales BPS does. The BPS Carbonlite. It weighs like 6.8 ounces is a a fantastic little reel. I would buy more in a heart-beat! It performs even better after a nice clean and lube too

Revo-S Vs Ambassadeur 5601C4
Shimano Compre or Falcon Bucoo or BPS Carbonlite or St.Croix Premier or Carrot Stix WIld or any other rod in the 100 $ price range Literally, the best decision will be what feels best in your hands with the reel on it. Feel with out the reel is pointless IMO. You can take a reel in, or ask the sales staff to put the reel on for you. Balance is key. I better balanced rod will be better fatique wise, and you will also have better feel, making it more sensitive. You will feel one you like. Go with that one

Looking To Target Snakehead
Aquia Beach, Stafford VA. If you do catch one, make sure to kill it. Bring a small baseball bat or something of the like to beat it on the head with, like the saltwater ones they sell at BPS. PM for directions if you cant find any.

Catching Big Fish Consistently
It seems I catch a 5+ maybe once every month. But then again I can really only fish 6-8 times a month, and only for an hour or two because my dad get's bored. There's not a lot of great places to fish also. The one GREAT! pond that im gauraunteed a 5+ every time is very selectively open. Its on the end of a military shooting range so it's rare its open, and you have to walk 1/2 mile to get there. I've only seen one person there ever in going there about 10 times over two years. You have to call everyday to see if it's open. I normally catch 3's consistently with a few 4's thrown in. They satisfy me well. But alot of waters around me their are either: a) no shore access or Private community lakes. There is basically the Potomac and our highly overfished reservoir. And then you pray and hope pond "x" is open!

My First Bps Trip!
For all you guys who go to the Richmond BPS, Talk to the guys out front smoking by the pond. I got to talking to one of the guys who is a big fisher and long story short he lit me pitch some craws in there from a pre-rigged combo inside. Although we rigged it so the chance of actually hooking a fish was a minimum. It was like a 1/0 finnese hook, just big enough to attach the craw fish. But I love BPS. Everyone i've talked to there in the fishing is department is very nice and friendly, and very knowledgeable. I can talk to them for hours just walking around and talking about the new stuff, old stuff, etc. Also, in the Richmond BPS they still have a few BPS Prolites there for $60(?) . I picked one up and they are quite nice for weightless plastics. NOT good however for anything more than say 1/2 ounce total weight.

Battlefield 3
I love playing COD. I Still play the orginal Modern Warfare, I actually prefer it to MW2. Cant beat the originals. Their maps were far superior to any of MW2's. Thats why they brought some back. I think i'll get BF3 for 360 when it comes out though. I always wait a week to see if their ar game ruining bugs, etc. Scorcher214, whats your gamertag? im out of gold right now but i'll add you anyways. I love the story to the Call Of Duty series' but the gameplay of the battelfield games is so much better.

Stren Vs. Berkley
As others have said, there are much better mono's out there. Sufix is my absolute favorite for mono. But for just Stren vs Trilene. Stren.
-
Stren Vs. Berkley
For what it's worth, maybe it's a placebo thing, but in the 10# lines of both brands, I thought the Stren was a little more managable, and consistent. The trilene had a touch more memory, and albeit being strong, I had too many break-offs too often. Almost like in some spots the line diameter was too thin, like 6# ish.

Dang, I Thought The Bait Monkey Was Bad

Big Bites You Missed
I can do so much work on adderall. I could probably build a go-kart from random things in my house in 30 minutes. I take it for important tests, school work, etc. Also when I play COD.... lol

Are All Polarized Glasses The Same?
The difference in night and day. I can see my jig working in 8' of water with my Costa's. I can barely see 1 foot down with cheap-os

Stren Vs. Berkley
The lines are similar but not the same. I prefer Stren Original. I actually have a bulk spool ~1000 yds of 10 #

Sunglasses - Costa Vs. Wiley X
Costa for sure. Wiley's are nice but the optical clarity of the 580 Glass lenses can not be beat. And no, the Costa Green mirror lenses are not green They are copper/amber with green encapsulated mirrors. I have a pair of Tortoise Permit Frames and man are they comfortable, a(and not to mention stylish). I have the Green mirror 580 glass lenses because the copper/amber base makes everything contrast more, Which I like for sight fishing especially, And then the green mirror helps filter out a bit more green light ( The color of most fresh water). However you may also like the blue mirror lense. It looks pretty cool. but the key difference is the base color. The Blue mirrored lenses are a grey base lense, which leaves color in tact, (not making every thing contrast) and makes everything just a bit darker. This is probably a good choice if you only fish in blue bird sunny sky days with no clouds. The blue encapsulated mirrors also filter out a bit more blue light. For an all around lense though, green mirror will probably be the best. You can wear them in lower light (ie. Overcast) and still be able too see. Also worth mentioning is that Costa's mirror is encapsulated in the lenses. It's not a coating like other cheaper lenses. Im not sure if Wiley's are coated or encapsulated too. I think the quality and styles are better on costa too. Make sure to go to your local BPS or Costa Del Mar retailer also. Every frame fits different so your going to want to pick one that fits your head. Once you found a pair you like and fits nice, you can either buy them there, or go on ebay. Just make sure the seller has %100 feedback, and has a nice return policy. The way to tell if they are fakes according to a lady I spoke with at Costa is there is a little 580 emblem on the lense. If you can see it from the inside of the lense they are real. Also, compare the frames thoroughly. I saw a pair recently on ebay and upon further review they were curved where it should have been angled. Also, Make sure they ship in the original box with the case and warranty card. If they dont ship with that and just a generic sunglasses sleeve. They're probably fakes. But the risk is worth the reward in my opinion. I got mine for $160 when retail is $250 Dont go by the color of the lenses on Costas site either. The lenses look neon on their site and look nothing like that in real life. Look at the images on ebay to get a good idea of how they look. Also, get a good pair of retainers so you dont lose your investment again! I got a pair of "Costa Keepers" and they work great. Yes, they do look a bit goofy but i'd rather look goofy then see $250 dollars sink...
