  1. Sufix Seige has the best 17# mono on the market IMO 8-)
  2. You'd need more bank accounts than you can remeber to make sure all your money is insured by FDIC. "The standard deposit insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category."
  3. Too far away.... .... and my mom wouldn't let me or my dad back in the house if she found out! ;D
  4. Would you rather save some money, and fry your own wings to watch football at home? or Pay a little more and go to Buffalo Wild Wings where you get to watch on a big screen, dont have to cook for an hour and a half, and get your drinks brought to you. Me and my dad are debating on what we want to do, but we cant really decide. What would you guys do? Also, what game do you think will be best to watch? Im thinking Green Bay and Philly should be good.
  5. A Quantum Inferno was my first baitcasting reel besides the Ugly stick combo, and for what you pay its an okay little reel But for heavier baits, use the MH and for lighter baits, and any baits with treble hooks, use the M
  6. Fluorocarbon in my opinion. Seaguar AbrazX in your size of choice 8-)
  7. the rods are not bad rods. ive owned 2 and liked them. the problem i have is the warranty. the OP says thats not an issue. what model did you not like? I also tried the spinner/bait worm rod, and also thought of it as a wet noodle. Your right it would be a good small crank rod, but I also felt they were uncomfortable(Balance, and reel seat felt funny to me), ugly, and didn't feel as sensitive as other rods in the same price range.
  8. I have some experience, because I sometimes fish with my little cousins, who are 7. One of the things I learned is to just not be so concentrated on fishing, but have fun with them. I probably take 10 casts in 3 hours of "Fishing with them". Fishing with me I guess is an excuse for them to hang out with me! We joke (At 7 potty humor gets em good! ) Try going bluegill stalking, or look at all the little bugs (Tyler has a fascination with them.) The main point is to make sure they have a good time. Slowly they've been casting more, and catching more. They just have to associate "fishing" with "fun" first.
  9. Step 1.(Thank your lord!) Then Dont tell anyone but immediate family. Otherwise you will be badgered non-stop for money. Step 2. Buy boat and truck, house and fill the large garage with just fishing stuff. Step 3. Donate to less fortunate Step 4. Buy a med/large lake and the property surrounding it somewhere in NC or VA. Step 5. Relax with my lady 8-) I would get a job at Bass Pro though, for whatever they pay me, or I'll volunteer there. Afterall, its not work if you love it
  10. Roll around in it? You'd have enough to go diving into it...
  11. That daiwa logo sure is nasty
  12. I'd say save up a few more dollars for a Curado 8-) But if your dead set on under 150, look at the Revo S, Shimano Citica, BPS Pro Qualifier and Carbonlite. Also check out the Daiwa Advantage HSTA, its a VERY nice reel for about 150 8-)
  13. IMO Save your money for another rod.
  14. Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier Reel - 7.1:1 SHIMANO Compre MH/XF. That puts you at 210 plus tax 8-)
  15. Just FYI there is no industry standard for modulus, so one companies IM-10 could be another's IM-6 : I think you'll be happy with your purchase though
  16. Also, I hate PS3 controllers, all playstation controllers for that matter. The xbox ones fit nice in my hands and I can play for a good long time 8-)
  17. The bottle opener on those fannings are awesome 8-) And they are super comfy! 8-)
  18. You can use a rod for any technique, but that doesn't mean it will do just as good. It like this, you can beat a nail in with a screwdriver, but a hammer would be much much better. As to answer your question though It should be good for treble hooked baits.
  19. PS3 online is absolutely crap. Its worth the money for XBL if you want to play online alot, and if you want a blu-ray player, they can be had for about 100 bones. And IMO xbox has more of the games I like, although PS3 has some, xbox has more for me.
  20. Succesfully removed reel seat, string (for arboring purposes) and the nasty amount of epoxy/glue. Now I just have to play the waiting game for parts, etc. Im thinking i'll split the grip and marble the split. That way I can cover up some scratched I did accidently, and then above the foregrip I may marble something flame esque . The marbling will be red and white which will match the guides as a nice red. I think it may turn out pretty sick looking 8-)
  21. I made sure to sand very lite, I think one round of hi-grit paper should do, then the epoxy should do the rest. If not i'll just wrap it in black thread :
  22. I wear comfortable Reef flip-flops when fishing from shore, standing for 4+ hours and no foot pain. Although I'm not on my feet all day.
  23. Never give up on your team 8-)
