  1. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HHHAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!. Thats what I would scream every time that lure flew thru the air. ;D
  2. I was just wondering what you guys prefer for brakes on a baitcaster? I was a centrifugal guy up until a week ago when I tried Daiwa's Magforce-Z. My second favorite has to be SHIMANO's centrifugals though. I cant stand regular mags though.
  3. I love every second of him! And we really kinda hijacked this thread LOL ;D
  4. He just like to bring moving things back to me. Fall is his favorite season because of all the falling leaves. If he sees a leaf fall he thinks its some sorta animal and will bring it back to me in his mouth. Gives me a little laugh every time! He kills for playing fetch.
  5. When it gets warmer i'm going to take him to the local river beach. Its only about 2 and 1/2 feet deep as far as the eye can see, so If he does go down I can save him. And shallower water should warm up quicker. Last time I took him there while I was fishing he was having a field day with about 200 ducks! ;D
  6. Actually, he's completely afraid of water, haha. We tried to get into into a kiddy pool, and he would have nothing to do with that! ;D haha. I don't know how he would react to say a lake or pond though.
  7. Doxycycline should get rid of both L&A. Best to get antibiotics started sooner than later. Thank you for adopting from Animal Control. I've worked with AC and shelters, too many really good dogs there w/o going to breeders. Is that an expensive med? or is it relatively cheap? Because money here is VERY tight. And I always adopt family pets from shelters and AC. The only time I would pay for a dog is if im looking for a hunting dog with certain traits etc. But for just a buddy dog, I wouldn't go to a breeder. Your dog looks about 40 pounds, right? I'd say the meds will cost about 40-45 dollars. If money is tight, just tell the vet up front. Might give you a break, or no blood test, especially since you just had him there for his shots. I wouldn't let it go it can really be bad. The vet should have told you about this, he must have noticed right? When we first got him, the bloodtest was Positive, so we dont need one, but we were never told of any meds for him. And yep, he's right around 40-45 pounds so im glad to know it shouldn't cost much, I'll make an appointment for the vet to see what they can do. I'd hate for him to lose his appetite or have serious joint pain :-[

  9. Welcome!! I too am a fellow Virginian, Stafford if you know where that is. If you need some good places to fish in the area feel free to shoot me a PM!
  10. I've only used PP also, so Im looking forward to your opinion on it.
  11. Yep B-Dozer, as soon as we got him we took him to the vet for all his shots, de-worming etc. I know he's positive for Lyme's but don't know about Anaplasmosis. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it though. The only time he ever really whines because of joint pain is when trying to jump on my mom's bed ( Its like 4 ft. off the ground). He's slowly putting on some fat though.
  12. Hmmm, I personally would have gone with the "Booty Hunter" hat.
  13. Give us a thorough feild report if you can please, I too have been eye-balling it, but havent pulled the trigger due to not many reviews. If you like it, I may go get some 832 since its supposed to be better, right?
  14. Haha, well practice only makes perfect!! I also like the name Fred, i've always gave my dogs real names. I think names like Sugar, and Cinnamon are stupid. My dog has nabbed plenty of birds and squirrels in the backyard, and I've have to do alot of digging, his name is Dave. We got him from the pound and man, he loves to point. I lucked out ! He has Lime's disease, which is why he's so skinny.
  15. ive done that a few times, its never that easy. Well I'm wanting to have the spool and everything else that is red on a CORE to be painted the same color blue as the Loomis NRX rods so I'd like it to be perfect. I would really mess it up. ha Hmmm, the metal on that looks anodized, But im not sure. If you paint on that I dont know how well a finish would come out if you had someone paint on top of it. Have you searched for aftermarket blue anodized spools, knobs etc?
  16. Nice dog .... Oh and nice bird too jk good looking bird you have there!
  17. ive done that a few times, its never that easy. I agree, it's not very easy, but usually my dad will help, and he's a beats at it. He uses his airbrush too and it comes out awesome. He is a VERY good artist, and craftsman. Usually to make cutting the pieces easier, put your masking tape on a metal sheet, and cut your peices off of that. It allows for a much cleaner cut, thus letting less paint seep. And I usually cut it a bit large, then touch it up with a very VERY fine paintbrush, or toothpick. Over years of painting models, my dad usually always have a few tricks up his sleeve.
  18. Sounds like a good combo to me ! And especially since its Christmas time they may throw in a few goodies as well
  19. I usually just take some Krylon and tape off, making sure to make special small pieces with an X-ACTO knife. Not the prettiest, but from your fishing partner's view, he cant tell
  20. So then, how SHOULD we tell the difference between the different levels of sensitivity? Obviously we cant go by IM or Modulus. Or do we just have to guess the more expensive one is better?
  21. Okay thanks guys, I knew I could wrap by hand, (Which I was planning on doing anyways to limit mistakes) but I didn't know you could just turn it every 15 min or so. Glad to know I only have to make the tho V shaped 2x4's with some felt lining it. And I looked at Kirkman's book on Borders.com , I'll definately check it out next time im at borders!!
  22. Just HORRIBLE! Im not allowed to hunt HMMPPH!! >
  23. Ditto, I had a hard time remembering some maps actually.
