  1. Thanks for posting that deep.. Mike
  2. If I'm not punching or pitching into a heavy grass or weeded area, I always start out weightless. Then go from there. Keep in mind I fish in relatively shallow, grassy lakes. Mike
  3. I switched to 12# Yo Zuri for shallow cranks ( which is all I throw) a while ago from what was recommended here. But at the roadtrip on Wilson last April, knowing we'd be going a lot deeper, I was gonna change it up but someone told me not too. I'm glad I listened. Mike
  4. Do you bowl? play tennis? Know anyone who does? Chances are you've seen the arm bands that most "crankers" wear. All it is, is a 2 1/2" wide velcro secured wrap that bowlers and some tennis players use to give support to the muscles that get strained by a range of motion that isn't done consistently or constantly. You can put it above the elbow, or anywhere on your forearm down to your wrist. Any medical supply house, chiropractor office, bowling or tennis pro shop will have them. Try it, I'll bet you a watermelon fluke you'll feel better. Mike
  5. Yes it does...Thanks for posting Mike
  6. Frogs, Brush Hogs, Flukes, Rage Craw. For punching through mat's...Sweet beaver or Rage bug. Mike
  7. Display? No But I do have one of my first reels, a Johnson Century 100, wraped up and put away some place. Mike
  8. I don't even want to think about it! Mike
  9. Sure it happens I never think I got it won. I learned a long time ago that no matter how well or how poorly the day went there will always be somebody who is on the right pattern, at the right time, and in the right place to beat you. And there will always be someone who struggled like you or worse...Unless you blank. Mike
  10. Ahhh D**n Im really sorry to hear that. Never met the man but I've always respected his opinions and follwed his suggestions. May God rest his soul. Mike
  11. Ummm I always thought it was a deep water presentation! Shows you how much I know! I have a tournament upcoming on Kentucky Lake in 2 weeks and I was gonna give it a shot during practice for a little while (depending on what my boater deciedes) and go from there. Thanks, I learned something today!!! Mike
  12. Good info Thanks Im fishing in the B.A.S.S. Nations Florida State Championship there next week and was wondering the same. Mike
  13. Yes, When it happens for me it allways seems to be a soft swim bait. Skinny Dipper or full size Big EZ. Mike
  14. For me it would be the drop shot. Even tho the lake's I fish may be too shallow to use it effectively. I will also say a jig. Mike
  15. I've been useing 15# Invizx on my plastics and spinner/chatter combo for a long while now and like. I don't mind a little stretch for spinnerbait's, but thinking of try something else for plastics because of all heavy stuff around here. I was given a spool of XPS to try, but haven't gotten around to respooling yet. Mike
  16. One of the most deadliest soft baits you can throw down here (for me anyway) is a light belly weighted Skinny Dipper, Big E Z etc. You can adjust the sink rate through the holes in the grass, through the grass, or open water. A non weighted one can be fished accrossed anything. There have been days that I never put the rod down with a 1/4 oz wighted skinny dipper. Mike
  17. Thanks guys I have a few important tournaments coming up and just didnt want to try someting new without asking someone else's opinion. Mike
  18. Sure I've caught fish at night with a light colored worm/crank, and during the day with a blue bird sky useing darker colors. Caught fish with a pink plastic, and caught fish a solid navy blue crank. As far as I know no food source for anything that swims is hot pink Mike
  19. What is it about the 50? I know the spool size is smaller, is that it? Never owned one, just asking Mike
  20. Yeah well, I guess us 60+ guys who log on too, just have own priorities straight Mike
  21. Thanks Fellas! Mike
  22. I've been useing 15# Invisex on my plastics and spinner/chatter bait combo's and really like it. My neighbor has been useing 14# XPS for almost everything he does and he gave me a spool to try. Since I've never used it I thought I'd ask here if anyone has and what do you think of it. Thanks Mike
  23. Allways looking for better ways to do something.. I haven't done it because I felt that I could get a more consistent end result by just doing them by hand. Aren't you constantly flipping them over and over? Mike
