  1. Bass Pro also carries them. Mike
  2. On casting gear I use 15# Invisex floro. For lighter applications I use 20# braid with a 12# floro leader on spinning gear. Mike
  3. You're gonna like the skip gap design. I use them almost exclusively now for swimming a senko and especially flukes. If pitching senkos or other plastices I use the twist lock. Mike
  4. I would assume there wasn't any prize money awarded, and because it was a kids tournament they made an exception for them, as they should have. Mike
  5. In Florida only if your tounament is allowed an execption, which must remain on your person throughout the tournament. If you weigh a short fish, that one and the largest of what remains in your bag is disallowed. Mike
  6. Sorry, cant answer your question..but I'd like to know what is a "slither rig"? I never heard of that term ( I assume it's for flippin plastics) Just wondering Mike
  7. Phenix X11 moderate composite rod. JM Sig 6:3 reel with 12# Yo Zuri I use that for all cranks Mike
  8. BEARS Blackhawks BEARS Bulls Gators BEARS Mike
  9. A low, side arm cast, in a slow fluid motion will get you there. And yes a lot of practice! What helped me the most was getting as close to the water as I could. On a boat try kneeling on the deck. From shore try to stand in a depression if there is one, if not take a step in the water if you could or kneedown on the shore. The best skipper I know is a friend who fishes out of a canoe. Mike
  10. Ive had the best luck with a Koppers. They're not as soft as a Scum frog which helps, but softer than a Spro which helps hook up's. Mike
  11. Spinnerbait/Chatterbait Mike

Hey Glenn! If you and Keri need a chauffeur/bodyguard/dog walker/or an all around gofer while you're walking around, let me know. I can be there in 3 hrs!! Mike
  13. Makes sense...The extra penetrating room of the wide gap probably made it easier to pierce the pan. I wonder if a straight shank hook would have done the same...maybe not. One in a million shot. Mike
  14. 9.78 on a june bug brush hog flipped into a pad field in 3 ft water. I was in a 10ft john boat and that thing pulled that boat in 2 complete circles and we ended up about 10yds from where she hit. I was sceaming like a little girl!! Mike
  15. 12# Yo Zuri for all cranks regardless of type. Mike
  16. I use a composite rod with 12# yo zuri and wouldnt change. I tryed mono originally and it was just too much give. The yo zuri gives just the right amount stretch that I like. Mike
  17. If fishing a tounament I use the Norman Speed Clips for a faster change out. If just messin around locally I use a loop knot. Mike
  18. You think you understand something until you realize you dont know as much as you thought !! Great posts guy's! Mike

    Ditto Mike
  20. The Spro is just too stiff for my liking. Koppers and the little ol Scum frog are all I use. No need to pull the hooks. Mike
  21. The lower end of any ball point pen will work perfectly. Used that long before I knew there was such a thing as a "wacky tool" Mike
  22. Ive been told that the shape of the lip and anal opening are only indicator's and not absolutes. The only sure way to know is to inspect the anal canal itself...If it is angled the bass is a male, if more verticle a female. Again, just what Ive been told. Mike
