Do you use different rod brands and why?
I pretty much go for any brand/product that piques my interest. No one brands pays me or gives me free stuff to use them so no loyalties. If there is a good sale on a rod and it has features I look for Ill pick it up even if not needed at that time but someday could use it. I have Quantum Okuma Shimano Croix with me on a given outing. There just so many good brands now each person going to have their particular best but unless its an orange rod you mostly cant go wrong. On using one rod for 3 applications, sure can be done. Your specific needs though down in FL going to be different than mine here in IL and being Ive never fished in FL just seen videos exactly what to get cant say. I do think I would go heavier all around. Where Im mostly M to MH Id up to Heavy power rods in 7'6" range cause I prefer longer rods. So yeah a $150 7'6", Heavy power, fast action rod I would use for those 3 presentations. oh also coming up jan and feb have been the best months for me to find a great score on a rod/reel with clearance sale happening so be on the look out. Be ready to purchase on a moments notice. I snoozed on a powell max 3d rod and while I was researching a model for about 30 minutes went back to buy it GONE.

New to flushing bearings
For times you want to give a quick cleaning this little product works well called RPM Bearing Blaster. Its 2 pieces and the bearing is sandwiched between the pieces. Your tube for the brake cleaner goes in hole and you spray the bearing. Works well if somehow bearing got heavy dirt on it or lots of grease.

Bps has their own bb1
the "8" has the sideplate to frame attachment hump that the urano doent have so that would mean not the same frame

Need help with a new reel.
Once you are able to control the reel better you can go down to one brake without issue. This will get you more distance for sure.

A Question To Shimano Fans
Maybe the BFS aldebaran XG would be a better match. Or core with upgraded spool cause the px-r was like a $500 reel. quote from another site "the Core with the Avail super shallow ALD9029 I think with the mag brake. With that setup I found it superior in distance and control over the CQ50s and even the pixy R. http://japantackle.com/casting-reels/shimano/low-profile-casting-reels/shimano-aldebaran-bfs2015ltd.html

A Question To Shimano Fans
What gets me is this was suppose to be fanboys for Shimano commenting. The TRUE FANBOYS shine through with their raging jealousy of yet once again Shimano getting all the attention. It eats at their craw that Shimano is always the brand other brands are compared to and Shimano most times is the brand that shines on top. Any commenters that posted thats not a Shimano fanboy by default is off-topic and shouldnt have replied. But see, as a TRUE FANBOY would do, they had to try to take down the one on TOP, to no avail.

A Question To Shimano Fans
Im just messing around btw. But the Japan made reels are sold in usa like the chronarchs/curado E series, Chronarch CI4, Metaniums, Daiwa SV, Steeze some others But lower tiered reels like Curado I, and Daiwa Tatula are not Japan made reels they are made in Malaysia and Thailand.

A Question To Shimano Fans
Just buy the superior, Made in Japan, models by Shimano or Daiwa that Lews Abu cant touch in reliability quality refinement. Leave Lews Abu lower grade less quality gear Korean made stuff for presents to your not so best friends.

Diawa Sv 105 Opinions
Bout sums it up Daiwa says "A new series of quality baitcasters featuring the shallow SV Free floating spool to launch light lures--Perfect for casting lightweight small lures on light line--6 lb. test to 14 lb. test line." One nice thing with the low gearing P model I have it was very easy reeling the swimbait slow & effortlessly. Quality feel is there as well no concerns. I see it as a $270 reel cause thats what it is here in US with warranty thats why i compare it to my CI4 both can be bought less overseas but to be fair its a $270 reel not $200.

I Feel Bad For Asking For This Boat...
As a father that right there hits home. Not the same$$ wise but I bought my son this RC truck and its breaking all the time. Trip after trip to the hobby shop and now he is not wanting to use it. No fun for you no fun for him but getting experience fixing things

Diawa Sv 105 Opinions
I was down to 2-3clicks(or 1-1.5 however you want to explain it) with 20# braid and the 3.8" swimbait 1/4ozhead. 1/2 oz trap is basically a sinker distance is good on any reel. The description on that video says 40#PP and abec7 bearings so not good stock comparison. "Published on Apr 12, 2015 1/2 sk red eye shad - Dobyns champion 733 - #40 power pro original - boca orange seal abec 7 spool bearings - thanks"

Diawa Sv 105 Opinions
Think you should upgrade your Core over getting the SV. My Core50 just has os7 and it does better than the SV. SV105P Initial observations Been using the SV with 10# Sniper and 20# S8S havent been blown away by the distance so far. Out again today testing it about 4hrs using 1/8 spinnerbait,1/10ned rig,1/4 jig 3.8" swimbait. I feel my CI4 has it beat for overall distance 1/8oz+. Lures seem to travel faster with the CI4 over the SV. SV has a resistance to it that the lure takes a little longer to get to target. I have better bearings to plug into it so this may help some but as is not living up to the hype just yet. My 50E with SS7 and 1 clear/smoke brake is beating it as well. For short to medium length casts, no issues, can skip lighter lures well, easier than the 50E.

Ned Rig Catches
Very windy out but like I thought 50E handled it effortlessly. I have 12# Sniper on the 50E and even with the stiff Helios casting 50-60 feet just flick the wrist with and into the wind. Yesterday with my SV, on the water, was skipping the Ned rig 4,5,6 hops. Wasnt able to get a max distance due to an earlier issue with my line and another lure, lost almost the whole spool.

Ned Rig Catches
Very easily done, was out yesterday throwing 1/10 ned rig with my Daiwa SV on 7' M/F Smoke rod 10# Sniper not an issue once brakes set properly. I have a 50E as well Im sure it can handle it. Ill go tie one on and check. 50E is on an Okuma Helios 7'MH/F.
