  2. Hmmmm......I believe you could be quoted as saying, " I hate fishing in this river with you. You ALWAYS outfish me" :eyebrows: Jeff
  3. I like the warranty. The elctronics are a good $3000 with mounts, plus the power pole. I think it is a good price, but you know they have some wiggle room. I would never pay asking price! Make sure you ask about a prop as well. There isn't one on it in the pics, and they can run you a couple hundred bucks! Let us know how it goes, and get others opinions as well. Fishing Rhino had that same year I believe Z7 and just upgraded to a Z8. Hopefully he will chime in! Jeff
  4. Spent one last day for 2012 on the TN River. It was cold (19-36) and the water temp was 46. TVA was spiling through the dam at about 92,000 cubic feet per second. This makes good water for smallie fishing. First cast I caught a ~2lb spot. Nice way to start. We fished for about 6 hours and I landed 9 bass ( 5 sm, 4 spots) and my buddy caught 3. He was too busy trying what wasn't working, while I stuck with my game plan! It was a fun way to wrap up the year. Largest smallie was right at 4lbs. On a side note, on the way home I passed Bill Dance. He was in his Chevy truck pulling a Tracker topper aluminum boat, with 25 HP Merc. But to top it off, he had a Camo Power Pole and what appeared to be a 1100 series HB graph on it. Talk about tricking out a tin boat! Jeff
  5. Updated!
  6. Nice boat, good electronics and a power pole. Just have to make sure you can live with a shorter boat??? Jeff

  9. 2012 was not the best fishing year for me. I had some major setbacks that kept me off the water this year more than I would have liked. But that's just the way the cookie crumbles some times. I did manage the best amount of 5+lb bass ever for me, which is largely in part to my Mexico trip. I finally broke the DD mark (twice), which has been a lifelong goal. I was also able to do a little offshore fishing. All in all it was a good year. 52 Days on the water 360 Bass 22 of which were SM 47 were 5+lbs (13%) 2 over 10 with my new PB of 10LB 14OZ Also caught 2 stripe marlin and 15 dorado. But best of all I got to spend 3 days with my wife trout fishing. Nothing like spending time with the one you love, doing the thing you love most. 2013 goals are to have as much fun on the water as I did this year. Road Trip again. And Mexico again. See everyone at the 2013 Road trip!! http://www.bassresou...wick/index.html Jeff

  19. As many of you know, MegaStrike makes one of, if not the, best fishing attractants on the market. Owner Bobby Uhrig, goes above and beyond to make sure the demands of us anglers are fulfilled. His products are some of the most innovative out there: Mainly known for his fish attractant, MegaStrike, which is made of amino acids, proteins and a few other secret ingredients, this product contains items that every fish "needs" to stay alive. It is essential to fishing any bait you throw. Don't believe me, try it for yourself. He also makes some of the best shakey heads on the market. They ALWAYS stand up. There was one day last year on Pickwick, where the ONLY shakey head combo to get bit was the ShakeE2 and the MegaStrike finesse worm. His Cavitron buzzbaits are the only ones I will use. They can be retrieved slower than any other buzzbait on the market. I actually gave away every other buzzbait I own. The StrikeBack spinnerbaits are jointed, to help keep that fish of a lifetime all the way to the boat. No matter what direction a fish attacks the StrikeBack, the hook or tail section will move freely as it is being inhaled. I do not fish spinnerbaits that much, but when I do, this is the one I grab! Not to mention, all of the variety of soft plastics that he has, ALL infused with MegaStrike fish attractant. He has everything: swimbaits, stick worms, grubs, craws, finesse worms, creature baits, tubes and more. Click on the link to the right of this page and check out all of the innovative products MegaStrike has to offer this holiday season!
