  1. Here ya go....a couple slobs from there... Jeff
  2. I know of 2 10lb fish caught out there in the last 2 years. But I am like you, most fish out there are small. I will dig up a post where RW caught an absolute FAT fish one day! Jeff
  3. And while it is just a truck, it is like all other things(boat, rods, reels), the better you take care of it, the longer it lasts! Jeff
  4. Yes it was riden up on the tailgate. It was a 10 footer and the bed of my tundra(double cab) is only 6.5. And any self respecting truck owner know that tailgates down cause rock chips to the tailgate, and I am not about to let that happen! Jeff
  5. Welcome to the addiction! Jeff
  6. Let us know! Should be a great time! Jeff
  7. The 6 pound crappie is false, that picture has been floating around for 5 years or so, and it is reported to have been caught at a new lake every year! Jeff
  8. I will see what the wife has planned for this afternoon and might see you out there! I get off at 1 so 2 wouldn't be a problem depending on what plans we have! Maybe see you then! Jeff
  9. I know the coleman version of the bass raider/hunters fit into the back of a Tundra....if that helps! Jeff
  10. Not a bite, but honestly I didn't give it much of a chance. I was out there MAYBE 20 mins. an the wind was bad and the snot was worse. I dont have much patience for having toclean my bait EVERY cast! Jeff PS> Bass are carnivores and dont eat salad!
  11. Well wind was bad, but not as bad as the snot grass(algae) at the daycare pond. That stuff is nasty. I wont be back! Jeff
  12. Headed out today to either grove or day care pond... swimbaits because of the wind! Jeff
  13. In that case stand off the back/front of the boat and wave to them as they watch! Jeff
  14. Can you please post pictures. I have the terrova trolling motor and since the transducer doesn't work wit di/si I do not have the graphs. If I could figure a nice way to make a mount like yours for up front it would end up costing me around $1500. Jeff
  15. I like peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, beef jerky and cheese. If I am fishing the whole day, I pack a sandwich(normally turkey and cheese) and a little bit of chips. Also normally have a hard boiled egg. I drink Dr. Pepper like a feine so I always have one or two of those and some water. Jeff
  16. I love mine as well. Hardest thing for me to get used to is the "reployment" if you will. It is not just a grab the rope and sling it back into the boat type of deal. You have to grab the head and lift straight up and then back. The other thing is when in shallow water, you used to be able to just lift up with pull string and run shallower, and with Terrova you cannot. All of the other aspects of it, FAR outweigh the two I just mentioned! Jeff
  17. Triton_Mike has commited! Jeff
  18. LOL! My coffee just went spewing! Jeff
  19. I might be there. Just looked and wind is supposed to be brutal, so plan on thrwoing something that moves! Jeff
  20. When I was about to build my pond, all I could think about was 5lb+ fish every time you hook up! You have to remember, that it is a lower stock rate for these fish, and so you will catch less, but the average catch will weigh more. Unfortunately I had to sell my land, and didn't see my pond all the way through, but you better believe I am already saving up for another piece of land and my dream pond. Just to give ya'll an idea of how much it costs, the average build is $10,000 an acre for the first year, and then yearly maintenance after that. This is starting from nothing, tigress bass and the correct forage(fathead minnows, bream, and carp) Places like Richmond Mill probably spend in excess of $100,000 a year in food and maintenance! Jeff
  21. Guaranteed all year round: JIG!!! Jeff
  22. x2! Would like to hear if anyone has been catching them! Jeff
  23. Almost went out there today, but didn't get out of work in time. Maybe Thursday..wanna meet up? Jeff
  24. Long Mike....do we have a total signed up so far? jeff
  25. Thanks, I will have to give it a try! Jeff
