It is not a bad thing to shoot a mom wit fawn. Not criticizing, as I am not a deer hunter, just asking. I would think a fawn would have a much better change surviving to maturity if it had its mother, hence helping the deer population. Jeff

Oh yea, if you get the Leupold, get the flip-up covers. They are very handy! Jeff

I have that exact Leupold on one AR. It is a fine scope with good glass etc. I am sure you have read all of the reviews. I know nothing on that exact Nikon, but they are nice as well. If it depends on the magnification, go Nikon. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with that L. Jeff

I am planning on going in the next couple of weeks sometime. Can give you a report then. Normally this time of the year- find wood cover on main lake points and feed them a lizard. Jeff

I throw mine on a mh/f rod. You need some backbone to set that hook home. Jeff
