  14. It is a go to for me. Like it better than the single barrel. I always have a bottle on hand. It is a must try in my book! Jeff
  15. I do not have the LCR, but do have an LCP380. Very small and lightweight. A breeze to carry. The gun shoots just fine, not the best and not the worst. Minimal recoil for a pocket pistol, but I will warn that it is finicky with the carry ammo, which brings up a good point I will mention below. The hollow points I tried first hung a bunch on the feed. I have gone to Hornady Critical Defense with the "flex tip" technology. I also had the feed ramp polished. Now it performs flawlessly. To my point, so many people practice with cheap ammo and never fire the carry stuff. If I had done this, I would have never known the problem and might have been costly in the time of need. Make sure you shoot at least 1 magazine of carry ammo through your pistols to check reliability! Even expensive ammo is cheap in relation to your life! Jeff

  18. Just wanted to let everyone know that our buddy Dwight Hottle has received some bad news. He has been diagnosed with stage 2 esophagus cancer. He has a battle ahead of him and could use all the good mojo and prayers we can send him. As of now he does not know the extent of the upcoming treatments. He is going to go through a surgery and chemo/radiation. Lets all keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers and send good mojo to him through his upcoming battle! Good Luck buddy. Jeff

  20. Got ya. I just thought that properly warming up an engine was common procedure- for any engine. Guess for some people, you just have to remind them. Jeff

  23. I have a 4 stroke on my little boat, but it in no way helps you with a 200hp purchase. What I will say is this, I will never go back to pull starting or a carb! Electric start and fuel injection is where it is at! Now, Brian's boat, which I have fished a ton out of he last 2.5 years, has a 250 Opti Pro XS. We have had no problems with cold starts, although our cold temps here are in the 30's, unlike you! Mixing the oil is a thing of the past, just keep the reservoir filled and you are good to go! I cannot compare to a 4 stroke as far as fuel, because of displacement differences, but with the running we do, it does not seem to be as much fuel as when I was younger fishing with my dad and burning through fuel all weekend! I think you are making the right decision buying Merc as your neighbor is the mechanic. Take into account the warranties if you haven't thought of that! Jeff
