Bass N Grass
With a heavy rod and 65# braid you shouldn't have many problems IMO. Just reel as fast possible. That's the only thing I can think of.

Neighborhood Ponds...any Suggestions?
I still suggest it. I fish ponds that have sandy bottoms and no craw population and still catch a lot of fish on jigs. It may take awhile, but you will eventually get a good fish.

Bassresource..are You Serious?
Why would someone who hasn't been here in years come and say something negative about the site that they don't frequent. Why do you care if you don't participate in the forums? Is your life that boring that you have to start arguments over the internet to have fun? Come on dude. No one cares about your opinion if you don't even use the site.

Neighborhood Ponds...any Suggestions?
That pond looks a lot like some of the ponds I fish frequently. Not much cover, just a lot of open water. I like throwing buzzbaits along the bank in the morning and evening, especially when it's dark. Midday I like dragging jigs with Rage Craw trailers and throwing spinnerbaits parallel to the bank about 15' out. I can almost guarantee that you will catch some fish doing this.

Backlash Fixing Tactics
What type of line are you using? If it's braid, you shouldn't need the thumb trick. If it's mono or flouro (I recommend you don't learn to cast with these), the thumb trick should work pretty well. I find that applying a lot of pressure helps, but it still may take awhile for it come loose.

The Lure Swap to set the record straight.
The swap hasn't gone bad and it sure as hell went better than the last one. Also, why are you even posting in here? You didn't participate in it, so it really has nothing to do with you. You aren't contributing by saying the swap went bad. JMO.

Vendetta Rods Cheap!!
Wow. That's a great deal. They have Veritas for $50 too if anyone is interested.

Top Shot
I liked it a lot. I thought the challenges were a lot harder than the first season and I liked the contestants more. I didn't like George or Jay at all though. They were just way too cocky, but George earned some points in my book when he lost on purpose for Chris. I was also happy Chris won. He seemed like the most genuine of the bunch and needed the money the most.

The Lure Swap to set the record straight.
Aint that the truth. They got free shipping over $50 I think. You said there were three empty envelopes? I know I put a Strike King crank in on of them. I think it was a 6XD. That's some low life stuff if someone took those without telling us or putting something else in.

The Lure Swap to set the record straight.
Just depends on how far away it is. I'll tell you it doesn't cost 10 bucks for me to get there and back.

Tornado Over Stafford County, Va
You don't think that would be fun? As long as you stay far enough behind it, you should be fine. I think that would be a blast to see a tornado, let alone chase one.

The Lure Swap to set the record straight.
I wasn't very pleased with a lot of the stuff in the box either, that's why I didn't take much. The stuff I did take I was happy with though. I probably won't do it again though. Too much money to ship it. I can just go to the store for free and have an unlimited selection of baits. It was fun though with the anticipation, so thanks Hookinem for setting it up. Just wish there was a way to cut down on shipping costs.

Another Bassclary Philosophy
If we would never know, why would it matter?

Pop Or Soda
I call it soda, but all my friends call it pop. I think most call it pop in Ohio or at least around Cincinnati. My family in Kentucky calls it soda, but my family in Florida calls it Coke which doesn't make any sense. Even if they want a Sprite or root beer, they call it Coke.

Flood
You can fish in your front yard. There is always a bright side to things.

Lightning Strike Video
I would say fake. Maybe if it only happened once, but not twice in a matter of seconds.

Now Im Mad
I completely agree with this. If you look at Google, you will see that this is very true. They allow their employees to make their own hours and basically let them do what they want as long as they get their work done. Google is an incredibly successful company and the way they treat their employees is a big reason for that. The only problem with this is when the employees take advantage of how much freedom they have. The OP didn't sound like he was taking advantage of his boss or not getting his work done, so I think he should be able to browse BR.

The Lure Swap to set the record straight.
Oh say it aint so. We get to one of the last guys and it turns into the last lure swap? I hope I'm wrong.

Why That Open Space On Some Of The Rod Handles?!
It decreases the weight slightly, but I honestly think companies started making them to improve looks. IMO split grips look a lot better than full cork handles.

Red Power Pro Braid
You shouldn't have any problems at all especially if you put a leader on. I don't think you need a leader, but if it boosts your confidence, then go for it.

Tw Order Finally Arrived
My order just arrived today too. I picked up some bullet weights, a bunch of senkos, some jigheads, and some grubs. I've ventured away from the tried and true baits, so hopefully these will help me catch some more fish.

It's Going To Be A Great Season!
Exactly what I was thinking. Looks like it could go 6 pounds easy. Nice fish regardless though.
