Won't hurt me at all. I either fish from shore or in a jon with a trolling motor. Just got a job today, so a big chunk of that will be going into my car. Won't have to worry about it as long as I can keep the job. Working will hurt my fishing time more than gas prices will.

Looks like I'll be getting some exercise. The vet thinks he is a Vizsla with some lab or Chesapeake retriever in him. All breeds are retrievers, so hopefully I can train him pretty well.

Thanks for the replies. He has gotten a lot bigger and he is almost potty trained. I keep him in a kennel most nights and he hates it. I wouldn't expect him to like it, but he barks like crazy. He is a pretty good retriever, but he doesn't like to give the stick up. I am happy I got him nonetheless though.

Not at Bass Pro, but my buddy does it at Auto Zone all the time. When I go in there for oil or brakes, he always tells me to use his rewards card.

I agree with Marty. Colors don't necessarily have to imitate a certain bait fish. I mean, there are pink plastics. You ever seen a pink shad?

I just recently started fishing for smallies in Ohio, specifically the Little Miami River. I've just been fishing as well. Between losing baits in rocks and retying, not much action at all. It's kind of annoying because the spot I fish is flooded from all the snow and I can't get to any good structure from the bank. I'll probably head back out tomorrow to see if I can get a bite going. Hopefully I do because I have never caught a smallmouth or even seen one in person.

I would get an Ugly Stik Lite Pro. They sell them at Wal-Mart and they are decent rods. I wouldn't get a Lightning Shock. They have no backbone whatsoever.

I used to listen to those guys all the time when I would skateboard. They were really good and I imagine still are, but I haven't heard them in awhile. That song is really good, but here is my favorite by them. I also listened to Animal Collective a lot. They are good, but kind of weird too. I really like Strawberry Jam.
