There are some about offshore fishing, but not that many about bass fishing. If you search bass fishing, some videos should come up.
  4. You're basically asking what our best producing baits are. Mine is a spinnerbait or buzzbait.
  5. My friend had me watch that video yesterday right before you posted it. Kinda weird. That is a pretty cool video though. I like when he hits the pizza sign off the car.
  6. Are you sure it's a bass cutting your line?
  7. I think it's more of a luxury. You don't need it, but at times it would be nice. The only times I fish out of a boat (not a lot), I never use electronics. It would be nice, but I agree with you that it's more satisfying to catch fish without them. Since I fish from the bank most of the time it's not really possible to use electronics, so I don't feel I need them to catch fish even when in a boat. A lot of boat fisherman beat the bank anyways, so the electronics are not in use all the time. Like you said, it's in the eye of the beholder though much like everything else in fishing.
  8. What is this new owner stuff? I did not know of this, fill me in please? http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1280855378
  9. I think you could do it pretty easily. You can take a full setup into Bass Pro, you just need them to check it at the door. I doubt you would catch anything though.
  10. Thanks. I've tried spinnerbaits and jigs, but will have to give Senkos and cranks a try. I have fished it in Landen and by the old Powder Factory and I plan to go this Sunday with the good weather. Have you fished near the Powder Factory? I walked along the bike trail and stopped off a couple times to fish. There is also this old cement block that extends into the water about a half mile through the woods near the Powder Factory. Haven't caught anything there, but my friend broke off with a monster in one of the pools on the side of the block.
  11. The bag is pretty small, but it could get some use it you're traveling light.
  12. Anyone in Ohio fish this. I've been a couple times, but never had any luck. What do you guys typically throw? I'm new to river fishing.

A shotgun does give a little more margin of error, but this idea that you can just point in the general direction with a shot gun is dangerous. Most home invasion, self defense shooting happens up close. Load your shotgun with 00 buck shot and see what the patten is at 6-10'. I have an 18.5" open cylinder bbl on my Mossberg, and even at close range in a panic situation hitting a target is not sure thing. I see what you mean. It's not a sure thing, but you have a better chance of hitting them with the shotgun.
  14. They closin the city down? ;D

A 2 year old could hit someone with buckshot, not a 9mm. I would choose a shotgun anyday.
  16. It's gonna be 45 and sunny on Sunday. Not that warm, but it's better than the 10 degrees today. I sense some needed fishing in my near future.
  17. That's the way it should be.

  20. Nice lookin dogs. I'm having the same problem with my new dog sleeping through the night. I wake up constantly from him barking.
  21. I would spend $100 on the reel and $150 on the rod.
  22. Man Goose, you've got quite the collection. I'm likin all the BPS reels.
  23. One nine pounder, but I wouldn't be mad if I caught three three pounders.
