I would use mostly soft plastics and jigs in natural colors. I really like pumpkinseed, junebug, and watermelon colors in murky waters.

That's a great winter bass right there.

I use it and haven't noticed any problems. I actually find it to be the best I have used yet.

I think it's easier to drive after the snow has passed. The plows may have already done their job by the time you go out and other cars will have gotten some snow off the road too.

We aren't expecting any snow, but we got a lot of ice over night. Everything has a sheet of ice covering it, it sucks.

I did try casting a 1/4 oz jig on it and it was pretty hard. I'm going to Bass Pro this weekend to exchange the rod and I'll see if they have both in stock.

I recently picked up a Vendetta to replace a broken Veritas. It's a 7' MH/F with a lure weight of 1/2-3/4 oz. I'm taking it back to Bass Pro to get a different Vendetta that's a 7' MH/F with a lure weight of 1/4-1 oz. Maybe this a dumb question, but why are the lure weights different if they are both 7' MH/F? Just curious.

A couple of streams I fish...

No one is saying that you need a boat to catch quality fish, you have a better chance of doing so. Not all shoreline is accessible by foot , but it is by water. This isn't my contest though, so do whatever you want.

I can't wait to get an L/UL setup and catch some pigs like that. Seems like it's so much fun.

It's not fair to put a boater against a non boater. The person with the boat can access a lot more water than a shore fisherman.
