Iv'e had several quantums older models mid 90s and have had problems trying to have repaired, no longer parts available I don't think it's really fair to base your opinion on a company on reels that were made 15 years ago. Just sayin.

Head style?

What's everyone's deal with Quantum? The reels I have used have been great, both spinning and casting. The Catalyst is a great reel IMO.

Could it be custom made?

It looks a lot like a Berkley Original Worm to me, but I have never seen those colors. I'm pretty sure it's not a Culprit though.

Does it have a flat side?

I just went back out and was able to lift it out of the ground. There were spots for wheels, but no wheels. The rods that were in the ground were curved and shaped a little like a hand shovel. I would have gotten a picture, but I don't have a flash on my phone. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

I don't think the new rules will be too bad. I think winning is more important than being consistent, but that's just me. Even if you don't win, but place well each race, you are still going to get a lot of points. I also heard they are thinking about shortening the races. I like that idea as well.

Those look pretty sick. I've got some Baby Rage Craws, but I always seem to end up using the regular size for some reason. Those things are killer.

Wow, that sounds pretty bad. I too like the Tour Grade Football. Probably my favorite jig out there.

What's wrong with em'? I like most of the Strike King jigs I have, but I've never tried those. If I were you, I would just use them in places you know you're going to lose them.

I can't wait to get out either, but it'll be awhile before that happens. I've got so much new stuff that I'm wanting to try too. You'll probably get a couple more jigs than you sent to Strike King and a hat most likely. It's a really nice hat too. ;D
