Ford Ranger
I could care less about any of these things mentioned. If I wanted to buy a fast car, I would have bought a 5.0. The gas mileage all depends on the way you drive it. I have gotten 25 mpg driving very conservatively, but that's not how I usually drive. I am mainly selling because it is too small. My 7' rods can't fit in it and there is hardly any storage space.

Why are you saying my current car is a POS? You have never even seen it. Is it a VR-4? No and that's only because I didn't want a VR-4. They may be the most unreliable cars that came out in the 90's.

Do you fish exclusively for smallmouths or do you throw the occasional largemouth outing in there?

Whats your scent opinion?
The one by Megastrike (I forget what it's called), but it works. It's not very messy and stays on fairly long. I can only compare it to the Yum attractant, but it is light years beyond that.

Ford Ranger
It probably won't get great gas mileage, but it can't be much worse than what I am getting now.

The Blue Book value is about $4,000, so I am going to ask for that. He probably won't go $1,500 less than asking price, but we shall see. 8-)

Ford Ranger
4 or 6 cylinder? The 4 bangers suck, but the 6's have some decent power for what it is... My buddy had a Ranger with a 4 in it and it could hardly pull the the truck itself lol. It's the six cylinder, but I'm not sure if it's the 3.0 or the 4.0. I hope it's the 3.0 because I'm not buying it for speed and I'll get a little better gas mileage.

If it goes in on trade, they probably did. That's what its worth wholesale. I bought a perfect condition '76 ford sedan with 26K miles on it. The little old lady said it was never in the rain. The first day it rained, the car was full of water. A rear window clip was installed from the factory incorrectly, and it leaked. I payed $700 for that car in 1997. Drove it for three years, and sold it for $700. It wasn't worth anymore than that. Decent car, that was reliable until I started messing with it to try and get some more juice out of the Windsor 351. Unless there is something VERY special about an older vehicle, they simply aren't worth much. For $5K you can do a lot better. But if you really want it, get it. I'm sure it will serve you well. If you do get it, I recommend you drive it into the ground, because you'll never get any resale value back out of it. One question, does it have the "Splash" graphics option? ;D Haha, it does not have the Splash package or whatever it is. It's the best deal I have found around here, so if it isn't sold by the weekend I will probably buy it. I am thinking I can talk the seller down at least $1,000, but who knows. I plan on running it until the motor goes and they will mostly be highway miles, so I think it will be pretty reliable.

There is definitely no way anyone is going to sell a truck that is in perfect condition for $750. I agree that the price could be a bit lower, but it is worth more than $2,000.

Ford Ranger
I thought about that, but it is probably bigger than my Mitsubishi.
-
Ford Ranger
It's $5,550 which is a pretty good deal in my eyes for a truck with such low miles.

Ford Ranger
I am thinking about selling my 3000gt and getting a 1998 Ford Ranger with 51,000 miles on it. Does anyone have any experience with Rangers? Are they reliable? Is it worth buying? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

carbonlite vs smoke
There are many BPS products, and they're made by a multitude of manufacturers The Smoke has been out for what? A month maybe? How do you know if it's good or not? I guess no one can use a reel until its been out for over a month? I never heard of that before.

Poll: Rod Sensitivity Casting vs. Spinning
I disagree. I think the only difference in blanks is weight and crispness. Both of these have a secondary effect on sensitivity but nether of them tie in directly to making a rod sensitive. Now it use to be that if you only fished with mono a blank made a big difference. But braid and fluocarbon have made that no longer the case. I'm not saying that a cheap rod is just as sensitive as an expensive rod. There are other factors than just a blank and line that makes a more or less sensitive. What I am saying is that a blank doesn't make a rod more sensitive. I'm not making this up. There are pros who think the same way So a fiberglass blank is just as sensitive as a graphite one? I think not.

carbonlite vs smoke
I have heard that the Carbonlite is made by Browning along with a lot of other BPS products, but I don't know for sure. I have gotten so many different answers to who makes BPS products that I just stopped caring. They are both good reels, but I don't think they are the same.

That's just not fair! Those are some nice fish and what sounds like a nice day. Do you ever catch small fish? ;D

Veritas vs Vendetta rods
The Vendetta I have is a pretty good rod and I will use it until it breaks, but the Veritas are better. I held the 7' Heavy today at BPS and was very impressed. It is a lot lighter than the Vendetta and it feels great in my hand. I got another PQ today and I am hoping to pair it with the Veritas soon. Even though the Veritas are better rods, that doesn't mean that Vendettas are bad. For the price, they are very good.

Poll: Rod Sensitivity Casting vs. Spinning
I voted casting, but line does play a huge role. I never use braid on my spinning reels, so that could be a reason why I chose casting.

RANDY MOSS
I think the Rams have the best chance at picking him up, but I don't think they should. They are playing great football right now and they don't need a drama queen like Moss to mess that up. Honestly, I don't think he should get picked up by any team. He is a flat out quitter.

Wouldn't want to meet that thing in a dark alley. ;D

I think it's just because Powell is celebrating their 100 year anniversary, but that's a guess.

Rod, reel choice, looking for opinions
I use a 6'9" MH Vendetta with a 7.1:1 PQ. I like the faster reels because you can really burn the spinnerbaits if you need to.

My son's first outing and fish
