Everyone talks about these $1 spinnerbaits at Wal-Mart. I have yet to see them. Are they Wal-Mart brand or something? Mine carries Strike King and some other brands, but none of them are $1.

Does anyone know how many chokes an 870 comes with vs a 500 if I bought it from Bass Pro?

I am looking to get a Mossberg 500 20 gauge for Christmas. I have heard these are comparable to the Remington 870s and those are good guns IMO. Does anyone have experience with these guns or opinions on them? Any help would be appreciated.

Watched Open Range yesterday after Maverick and both were pretty good. I think True Grit looks amazing, but I haven't seen the first to compare them. Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon are both Academy Award winners and I think they will fulfill the acting responsibilities.

Ha ha. That's funny. I catch fish with GY senkos; T-rigged, wacky-rigged, weightless, unweighted; everything produce for me. The other senko-type baits (Yum, BPS, Strike King) never even caught a cold for me. Sounds like most people. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I just can't catch a fish. I fish them the same way as other worms like dingers, but to no avail.

Actual senkos. I can catch fish with similar style baits, but never with actual senkos.

My family is having that this year. I can't wait to try it. I really like green bean casserole, so that will probably be my favorite.

This is a fun thread , nothing dumb about it. It is fun, but c'mon. You have to admit it's a pretty dumb topic. I think it's hilarious. Perhaps you just dont want to show what's in your fridge... Don't hate on Spam. It's amazing.

I would stay with the medium power rod you have right now for crankbaits although it's not ideal. I use a 6'9" MH Vendetta for my spinnerbait and jig rod and it is working great for me. It's paired with a 7.1:1 BPS Pro Qualifier. This set-up is well below your budget and is great for the price. EDIT. I think they have the rod in 7' too, but not certain. You can also check out the Veritas, they are great rods for the price.

What other lures do you want to fish besides the ones you already have listed? I use a different rod for for jigs, plastics, and cranks, but if you are satisfied with your rod for all of these, I would stick with it. You could get a rod for deep divers or spinnerbaits or something else.

That looks like it could be fun. They have some crazy control over those chutes.

The Bengals are definitly the worst team in Ohio. And you think that they are still the worst team in the NFL? What about the Panthers? Yeah, I just thought about them right after I wrote it. The Panthers take the cake, but the way the Bengals are playing, they aren't too far behind.

Bengals for sure. I would say they are the worst team in the league actually. The Browns really aren't that bad.

This same thing has happened to me twice at two different ponds. The bass would just sit about 5 feet from the shore and not move unless I hit them with a jig or something. I didn't see any white on them though, they were both extremely dark.

The smallest I have ever seen is 50lb. I tried looking online, but all I found is some bead line that Power Pro makes. EDIT: Just found this.
