Nice man I really like the pictures of the pond - it gives a good idea of where you were fishing. I might have to bite your style and start doing that lol. That fallen tree looks like a nice jiggn area for sure! Nice that you got out for a bit too man and thats a nice little depth finder. I just got the 385ci just a little bit ago and am still tweaking it. Way to go!
  2. Hey some ppl say Einstein had a closet full of the same suit he wore almost every day. Maybe you're on to something lol u are kinda the Einstein of fishing plastics
  3. Nice man! Caught my first swim jig fish the other day. It's great to go out and try different techniques and get them to bite. It's a real sense of accomplishment. Way to go!! Do you ever fish swimbaits?
  4. Great pic man - Father/Son fishing is pretty much hard to beat!
  5. Man that's awesome! Sounds like a great trip! What an exotic set of fish to catch too! Thanks for sharing man!
  6. Another great video! A little too bad about the audio but the action was crazy - that place is teeming with life! I gotta fish a gator stream like that once in my life man that's intense. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Nice man! I remember as a kid living in Michigan - I think I caught my first ever bass there out of a small pond in the back of a friend's house. lol those were the days. Cant wait to see the footage!
  8. Nice man! It's crazy how strange the wacky rig looks to those of us used to t rigging or whatever. But man does it work! Was your rig weighted? Nice pic too, looks like the perfect time to be catching monsters!
  9. man lots of great information on here - thanks a lot to all posters! I'm looking forward to trying this out!
  10. That's cool man - nice to see the kids with the lunkers like that. It's real unfortunate about the flood and all, sorry to hear that. Good luck restocking and building up another lunker population!
  11. What a report! Thanks for sharing! Sounds like an amazing time! And an amazing bait!!
  12. lots of good advice on here - man I hate the skunk!! Reminds me of trying to catch stripers out of the California aqueduct I really agree with the suggestions to try around dawn or dusk, and also to punch the heavy vegetation if you have to fish in the middle of the day. Look for shaded areas and ambush points and really try to focus on what the bass may be eating and how they are feeding. Vary your retrieve speed/style, where in the water column you're fishing and the size of the baits you're using. Color too! Good luck keep us updated I'm sure someone will end up bouncing an idea off you that works. Hope you get bit!!
  13. Haha that's awesome! Seems like you guys have a great time out there! That's what it's really all about! Nice fish too!!
  14. Way to go man way to get out there and HANDLE them!
  15. Thanks boss! It's been great falling back in love with bass fishing! I'll be down south soon enough and on the hunt for a DD!
  16. Way to go man sounds like the new technique is really working for you! It's great to find new ways to get'em! Nice fish too!
  17. That's awesome man! Sounds like a great time!
  18. lol no slap intended from me if that's what you mean. You're catching 5 lbers man I'm just tryna keep up! But yeah the fish log is just easier for me than trying to think up a new topic each time I go out lol. Speaking of going out . . . Took Beezy out yesterday and ran into some deep water lmb. Was hoping to get up to a smallmouth lake today but the wether is looking like it’s against us Here’s a couple chunks from yesterday and my first swimjig fish. The first 2 fish both went around 3 1/2 lbs and came on the flickin rig. Had to break out the vvs diamond nail clippers for this picture And my first ever swimjig fish – this ¾ oz jig and 6” trailer casts a mile – so although the fish only went around 2lbs the fight in still took forever lol
  19. PM sent!
  20. Ha nice man! One thing that's unique about fishing that I enjoy is that you never know what's on the end of the line until it comes to surface! I'll be down in TN soon man, can't wait to see the diverse population down there! It's supposed to be super hot down there today, try to stay cool man! 6"zoom trick worm in alabama craw - they were loving it!
  21. Got out and wanted to try something different so I tied this “flickin rig” I’d heard about on a spinning rod and boy were they loving it! Pulled up to a ledge that went from 14 to 9 feet and parked at about 10 fow. Threw out the rig towards the deep and on my second cast my line shot up on the fall. I pulled back and set into a chunky 3 ½ lber that wanted to fight. Something I’m loving about the rig is the exposed jig hook – when you set that jig hook the fish really isn’t gonna go anywhere. So I fought it in and got it in the boat. So to me this is already a good day lol. And I’m liking the rig. So I throw it back out same spot and whack I get it hit again on the fall. Nice big fight again and nice big fish. Same class. 19” 3 ½ lb. Not sure what the bass are feeding on but they seem real healthy in this lake. So I shoot a little vid on my phone and snap the pic, weigh and measure the fish. Then I cast back out and the bite has stopped. Probably foolish of me to waste time when a bite like that is going on I know, but I was having a great time. I fish around the spot a little more and pull up a little smallie. Didn’t even know this place had smallies. Not a huge fish but hey 2 species day. I figure I should maybe throw a crankbait on and fancast the area to search for schools if there are schools around. So I throw a suspending crank on and hook into something. Lol 12” white perch. Haha what's going on? Lol 3 species day. So that spot slows down. I still want to try something different so I move real shallow and tie on a frog. I’m throwing a frog in about 2 feet of water and it gets blown up by some pickerel weeds. The bass engulfed it. 2 ½ lbs. My first frog fish. Don’t get any more frog bites, so I go over to some timber and toss a jig. I feel it getting bit but it feels small. I toss it again and set the hook on a crappie lol. I would have gotten a pic but I lost it right at the boat as I was poppin it up out of the water. Didn’t know there were crappie in here. 4 species Day lol I move up towards a dock and throw out the flickin rig and catch 3 more bass in 3 more casts. I’m really liking the rig lol. The first two were around 2. The 3rd came when I threw past the dock into a little cove and came in as the best fish of the day at 3.86. Nice man I’m pushing a 15lb limit here lol. It’s about time to go in and I had left the last spot to get that last pic lol so I moved to a ledge close to the landing and threw the flicking rig. Hooked into a 19” pickerel lol to close out the 5 species Day.
  22. Lol yeah man I’ll slow down come winter probably – unless I get into Ice fishing haha I guess lots of ppl up here ice fish. Yeah beezy’s caught a few that she hasn’t posted yet – I forget exactly but I think she stuck a nice healthy 2 the other day. She’s still looking to break 3lbs – hopefully this weekend we’ll run into some chunky smallies – gonna try to head up north and hit a smallmouth lake. Man I only have one 4 this year so far and maybe six or seven 3’s. Just got a 3.8 yesterday that I could of SWORN would have been a 4 lol. I usually only get out for an hour or two at a time so sometimes it’s hard to really go searching for them, but I feel I’m getting better at locating them.
  23. Hey man way to go! 4.9 that must have been a nice haul! Have you tried http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ I've used that site a few times successfully and it might suit your needs. Congrats again on finding the bass! Nice fish!
  24. lol I hear ya!! just make sure to get us a steady shot of it when you do come up on it or a unicorn or whatever else is next lol. In all seriousness thanks for sharing your mellow videos, it's nice to be able to escape with you to your part of the country for a while!
