I know from experience you have to 18. I've been tryin to get a job at mine for a long time and even tho I'm close they say they can't hire me till after my 18th birthday. Good luck to you. Don't spend every paycheck there. LOL! Actually half my check will go to a car and gas, I'll give a 1/4 to momma and pops to help with bills etc, and 1/4 for me to blow on girls and fishing! haha. Watch out man once i got a job I thought 50/50. Gas and necities and the rest for fishing and play. Turns out since gas has gone up, my parents are making me pay for insurance(your parents may do the same), and other things (like paying for my car getting toed) I actually owe my parents money. So be careful with your money and also manage your time like I said. You're going to get to a point where you need money for your free time and then find out you won't have any freetime due to work.

Expect no time after school and probably not much fishing. I have a job that I have to go to after school everyday and saturdays. I love the job just the problem is that my work schedule has it where I can't do any after school activities like sports and if I go fishing on saturday I have to be back early so I can get to work. Good thing I was able to work out with my boss (also a fisherman) to let me get off 3 to 4 times a month. Once for club meeting, and 3 days to fish/ fish tournaments. It is a good experience that your going to learn sooner or later, just be able to manage time wisely.

How should I rig these? I got 2 packs of 4 inch and a few 3 inch i was able to salvage from 2 packs that melted.

Has anyone had any experience with this rod? Saw the price and some reviews but a lot of people are comparing this to an Ugly Stik. Just like to get someones opinion on this.

I used to use a Improved Clench but it never worked to well. Started to use Palomar and havn't used a different knot exept for a blood knot but that was used to attach line to line.

I like the Avids but the only problem is $$. So using MH is ok for jerbaits? Whats the difference between using MH or M for Jerbaits? I thought having the lighter action would make it easier casting smaller sized jerkbaits?

Is there any points of interest fishing wise if anyone doesn't mind. We've been told to try Alligator and few other places but not really familiar with any of these places. My main concern tho are the driving lanes marked? My dad said it wasn't last time he was there but not sure if that has changed or not.

What's an average amount that a non-boater should give for gas? If I go. if he wants me to bring food, I'll pay for all of that, but what would be a resonable amount for gas. 20 dollars seems to cheap to give to some one so I just want to what would be reasonable.
